Just checked the tracker. Oh Yeah!! Tied with the I fund and a few other folks at (don't hold your breath) -0.21%. YEAH BABY!! move'n up the tracker. :rolleyes:
 
Not looking good for the investor, escpecially us in the TSP (limited trading ability). Most everything I am reading in the papers and on the internet is not very positive. I think small gains across the board will help confidence and may keep the market moving in a positive direction. But, I think if we see a big jump it may have an opposite effect. Good Luck to all.
 
The way that the day is shaping up I may be in the 600's on the tracker berfore it is all said and done. :o
That's over a 400+ drop in just two weeks. :blink:
 
I fell and fell hard. I finally tucked my tail and ran. Yesterday was a better day to do it (up day, go figure).
This is simply awful.

On the one hand, I am young with plenty of time to grow. On the other hand, I'm young, and the pensions and social security are being chipped away at. Maybe I'll be lucky and get to retire before I'm 90.
 
The 50 day moving avg is coming down and will cross 200 day soon. That means bear market. One thing I have learned is that when you get moves of over 2% in s&p you should get out. I don't always do that and usually get burned like this time. You keep waiting for a bounce so you dont get whipsawed (I have been a victim many times) and then you wait and wait.....

It looks like that sometimes. I am planning 6/1/12 as my retirement date. You have time to recover.
 
Well considering I will probably have to take care of my parents, while taking care of my future children until they're 30 because of the way the laws are heading, while they are not working/paying taxes/adding to SS I kind of feel my age bracket is being screwed, more then your average generation anyway.
 
Looks official to me....the panic button has been pushed.

There will be some serious changes in the tracker tonight.

your not alone, theres at least 2 of us all in the "S" boat. i'm going to have a seat and enjoy the veiw. i see a speck of sun tryn to peek out from the clouds.
 
OMG I'm a -6.34% and 516 on the tracker (actually I thought I might drop into the 600's). And it might get worse tomorrow. :mad:
If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would have gotten drunk tonight. I guess I will go to bed and have some nightmares.
