CSRS or FERS?
I still have a few bills I want to reduce before retiring. But in October of 2012 I will have 42 years service (CSRS). A good time to leave. :D

Just in time for the end of the Mayan calendar! Wouldn't it suck if the world ended and you had worked forty-two years, only to enjoy retirement for two months?:nuts:

Actually I am thinking maybe May of 2012. I will get serious and start crunching numbers around mid 2011. :D
I could care less about the Mayan calendar as long as the Julian calendar goes out to a few more centuries. :laugh:
 
What a day the market has been. The last hour will be real interesting. Could be a white knuckler. :blink:

Can todays move up cover the losses from the 17th and the 21st? :confused: I hope so. September has been interesting so far. There has only been three days that the CS&I have been negative at the same time. Two of the three I mentioned above the third was the first of the month. The tough choice is if the markets have a great day today do I play it safe and jump back to safety the next day or two or ride it out and gamble a little bit. I need six more percent and I am back to my ending balance of 2007. Let the games begin. :laugh: :nuts:
 
Yesterday was a good day. This morning futures show some promise.
In my real account I am less than 1% from reaching double digit profit for the year and less than 5% away from recovering all my losses since the beginning of 2008. :D Now comes the tough part. With another good day or two should I pull back into the "G"arage to protect what I have been lucky enough to accomplish so far this year or do I follow the FRTIB's rhetoric and become a Buy & Hold believer? :confused: There is a third option however, I could watch what some of the respected leaders on this MB are doing and decide then and there if I will make a move. :suspicious:
What to do, What to do???????????

The third option is actually my preference. The problem is, there are times I do not have time to follow some of the leaders (away from my desk or a last minute decision) so I end up a day behind. :(
 
Regardless of the economy, we are in a full bull market and instead of pulling back, we are forming a base.

This market is waiting for the Fed's policy announcemnt today, afterwards I expect it to pick a direction based on the doller.

IMHO :)
 
Went home early to catch up on some yard work. Checked the market at about 1:30 and all was good in the world.:laugh: Get back in the house around 3:30 and check again and "WHAT IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED". :sick: Who opened their mouth at about 2:30EST and said something stupid?:confused: The market did a complete flop and continued from there. Guess I am giving back what I earned yesterday and then some. :mad:
