nasa1974's Account Talk

I stayed in today (I wanted to bail because I'm scared of risk) but I have to remember the trend is up until proven otherwise.

Here is a definitive higher high on the equal weighted view.

JTH,

Thanks for the chart. Really wanted to jump in on the 1st and talked myself out of pushing the button. Anyway it just feels like a down day today so that is why I jumped in. We will see, huh? I still have one more IFT in my pocket and the <1% option so hopefully the month will end positively. :D

Well I bought into strength yesterday. Not the way we know we should. :D Let's hope for a few more days of strength. There seems to be an undercurrent that 2009 will finish on a strong note. Let's hope so.:nuts:

Here is some interesting reading for this morning. These articles are from

Market is back to normal. Now what?

Stocks have erased much of last year's losses. But while the worst may be over, many of last year's problems haven't gone away.

Is this rally for real?

Insiders sell like there's no tomorrow

Corporate officers and directors were buying stock when the market hit bottom. What does it say that they're selling now?

I'm hoping along with ya ! I believe that the end of next week will be the
end of this rally for abit. October will be interesting as retail sales comes
into focus. November and December should be strong to close out a great
year ! ;)

S&P just went negative. Looks like the 1043 resistance line is going to cause some worry with investors.

I jumped in yesterday thinking it was going to be a slight sell off but got hoodwinked. :notrust: Today on the other hand started out positive but the noon witching hour hit the S&P and then the other two funds followed the sell off. Starting to climb back towards the positive side of the Force. :D Let's hope the last hour of trading is a run up to new highs.

Just wring your hands for awhile till 4:00pm

Then get your 1 part vodka, 3 parts Major Peaters bloody mary mix in your favorite glass full of ice. Stir add a stalk of celery or a Clausin dill pickle.

Sit back in a nice easy chair on the deck with someone you love.

Smile, talk, enjoy the rest of the day.

Everything will be just fine.:)

It's September 11th, we should be looking for a somewhat flat close for the day, but I'll be looking for a slightly positive finish going into this weekend. :)

mayday,

Thanks for the pep talk. Actually made a few dollars Friday. Hope next week moves up the charts. :suspicious:

Going to be out of the office all day. Heading out to our other facility for a safety inspection walkthrough. Hope the market doesn't do anything stupid.:notrust::worried:

Nice day today, not a great day but a nice one none the less. That is if you think sitting at 187 (-0.01) in the Tracker is a nice day.:nuts: I do watch the Tracker but I am not using that as I have to be in the top ten. Oh! do not get me wrong I would love to be in the top ten but reality is reality. In my real account I should be around 6% YTD. I will know better when I check my numbers at work tomorrow. Have a great night everybody. Tomorrow is another day.:D

Updated my numbers from yesterday's market and my real account is at 6.93% YTD. I still haven't recovered from my losses that started in 2008. But I am getting closer. I only need another 6.77% and I will be back to my 12/07 numbers. Can I get there by the end of 2009. I hope so.
Asia and Europe is looking real strong this morning. I may actually jump to the positive side of the Force. :D Good luck to everyone today no matter where you are invested.

Good for you!

If I can't climb the tracker, maybe those above me can push the positive territory down so I can reach it.

Great market today. The 3 o'clock hour will be the real test. Not to jinx anything but it is only a matter of time before we see a correction. The market has had a great climb up this month and when will the sell off begin to pocket the profits? Out of ten trading days the C & I Funds have had 7 positive days and the S Fund has 8 positive days in a row. For the month the C Fund is up 39 cents, I Fund up 62 cents and the S Fund up 88 cents. Keep your eyes open and the lap bar down and tight the ride is about to begin. :D
