nasa1974's Account Talk

OK!! It's almost 11pm EST and there are 26 members and 215 guests wandering around. Doesn't anybody sleep? Well, 5am comes pretty fast so I am going to chug the rest of my beer and go to bed. Tomorrow. Night.....

Thanks for staying up a little late last night to keep on eye on things!!

Well yesterday was interesting to say the least. I think I will pull on my sticky pants early today and get ready for a rough ride. Hopefully we can finish with some profits today. Good luck everyone.

Jumped up 8 spots yesterday on the Tracker, 97 to 89. There are 87 members at 3.92% and that would put all of them tied for the #2 spot. So I have moved up to #3. NICE!!! Once I fall from this spot someone else can brag a little. ;) It is interesting to watch this group get smaller as the week progresses. The group started at 115 after Fridays close, then fell to 105 and now it is down to 87. I would imagine that by tomorrow that number will be much smaller. Good luck all.

Jobless claims rise sharply to 6-week high

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans applying for first-time jobless benefits rose on Thursday, reversing a recent decline and suggesting the labor market remains brittle.
Unemployment claims jumped to 399,000 in the first week of 2012, the highest in six weeks, from an upwardly revised 375,000 in the prior week. The four-week average of claims also marched higher to 381,750 from 374,000.

The Labor Department report also showed 3.63 million continuing claims, up from 3.61 million..."

Sticky pants on, seat belt clicked in place and the safety bar is down. Hang on folks. WWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Today was an interesting ride for sure.

I was just looking at the Tracker and there will be a small change in the top 100 as well as the bottom 5 after todays finish. Out of 889 members in the Tracker only 5 are negative and after today it looks like only one will be negative and by less than 0.20%. I am not picking on anyone just making an observation. The Tracker for 1/11/12 looks like this; out of the top 100 only 16 are not 100% S fund and only 0.53 separates #1 (4.08%) from #100 (4.08%). The difference between #1 and # 889 is 4.72. Only 17 of the top 100 have made an IFT and of those 17, 3 have made 2 IFT's for the month. Out of the top 100, 87 members are tied at 3.92%. Pretty impressive folks.

I am really enjoying this ride but it is going to be a tough decision to stay or run to the lilly pad. I have made more these last three weeks than my final tally at the end of 2011. I've been here before only to loose about 15K in a heart beat. I think I might have to play follow the leader this time unless I get to nervous then run for cover. :worried:

Sure wish we didn't have to make up our minds what to do before noon EST. It would be nice to see what the lunch bunch will do to the market. Then we could make up our minds.

I still have my 2 IFT's for the month and I have some good numbers already so the little voice in my head is saying use one of those IFT's and sit on the lilly pad. But the VIX looks like it could close below 20 and the news and charts look just good enough to want to stay put. I have been here before. What to do?????

Darn it, I can't spend it until I cash it in. I'M STAYING PUT!!!!!
