MrJohnRoss' Account Talk

Hmmmm... it appears some cracks & fissures are appearing in the market.

I went against my gut feeling to simply get back in before the new month. Tomorrow we will see if I regret it which would be my luck lol. In the end it's just money right? :)

When I saw the market going up at the open, I was tempted too. However, if I don't follow my own system, how can I expect anyone else to believe in it as well?

Depends on how close to retirement you are...

I'm only 26 so I have a while and by the time I hit retirement age our money may be worth the paper we wipe our...

By the way, aren't you 100% S Fund currently? There was some confusion a week or so ago about what your position was and I have a feeling your actual TSP position is different than what the AutoTracker says, but maybe I just misunderstood you.

You're definitely right on that. I had to go work at a career fair today as part of my joyous Air Force recruiter job so I was pretty busy and had to make a quick decision with my iphone so I went in at the last minute. I also saw coolhand put 50% in so I thought maybe I was making a good call. I may take a little hit at first, but at least I missed the hit from today. Seasonality looks good for the beginning of March so maybe magic will happen as long as Bernanke can keep his mouth shut lol. I'm looking forward to see if anyone's system changes to a buy/sell tonight.

Don't watch this video if you're afraid of heights. Watch engineers climb a 1768 foot high transmission tower for repairs.

I might be able to do this physically, but would need a LOT of practice to do this mentally.

Wow! Now that's "high" pucker factor! Now way I could do it physically -i'd have a heart attack first.

That is nuts...thank you for sharing that. I could do it if I had something hooked onto something the whole way up, but I can't believe how far they climb with nothing for safety attached. I hope they get paid good money lol.

I've been in a very high tree on a windy day when the wind was moving me around like I was on a carnival ride. Fun, but scary.

I'd be afraid of those clouds in the distance, the chance of rain. Or lightning. And it looked like the sun was setting and it was about to get dark.

I guess if you're a pro, you can work fast and get down before it gets too late.

Hope they get paid well. It would be tough for them to buy life insurance, that much I do know.

Full on sell signal. Locked and loaded waiting for the next rebound.

My thinking was even if I got in for a day and got a small bounce I could get back out and be in the same position I would of been in had I gone into March not invested. With the way IFT's work we are so limited.

So maybe if tomorrow looks like it will be a gain day (even if it is small) I may bail out and reenter when we get buy signals.
