Re: Greg's Account Talk

YTD returns as of COB yesterday 06OCT2008:

S_fund -26.69 %
C_fund -26.80 %
I_fund -34.79 %

They'll be down another 5 % COB today.

Does anyone stay in touch with Sarah O? I wonder if she has stayed in the I-Fund all the way down.

Boeing stock vs. S&P500 during the last 12 months.

I think this shows that having an index is better than a single stock.

Re: Greg's Account Talk

I IFTed today before the deadline to 33%S from 100%G in hopes of catching a short-term dead-rat bounce (maybe 10%).

At the 12-noon-deadline, DWCPF was down almost 6% and at the 4PM-close it was up 1%. So, the rat bounced during today's FRTIB-deadzone. I would have stayed in G if I had known that would happen. Nice system we have to work within :(:suspicious:.

Sorry to hear that greg. A lot of us were bearish, but who'da thought we'd see 40% to 50% in 10 months? Ouch! Just a year ago we were saying we had not seen a 10% correction in almost 5 years. So a 20% drop sure sounded like a good buying opportunity. Who knows how much worse it can get, but it certainly can - get worse.

Re: Greg's Account Talk

yep, and when the I fund hits -60%, I will buy, buy, buy!!!!!
I exited at 21.5140
Buy in at 12.50 will be nice!

That should have been "the I-Fund will be down close to 50%."

I'm down about 12% for the year, which I'm OK with. Thanks for the empathy Tom anyway.
