Re: Daily market video's. One stop shopping.

Oscar for Wed 6/17, Indices down; H&S in Euro; Trans below 200; he is not following the normal 2 day rule in a bull market (buy); he will sell rallies in the Euro and the S&P (?); DJTY getting below top of right shoulder and now possible to get below the trend line; S&P is below support and looks like it might go lower even though currently above 200 day; Cup and Handle may hold but maybe not; Euro is below support and threatens to go toward 1.34; US EDXU9 Sep well above channel and looks bullish. No apologies to Birchtree for lack of faith in bull. Still "with the upside" on the board.

In the Money Stocks videos seem to no longer include projections/opinions on the future, even in passing, but rather now seem to solely talk of market moves in the first part of the day of the video. Am I missing something through lack of attention?

Hi Warrenlm,
For me, In the Money Stocks videos do include TA projections on market direction (without opinion/emotion) - they try to explain Technical Levels that are support/resistance, explain where they come from, and most relevant what they mean if they hold, or get broken thru - as in, what is the projection, or consequence of breaking/holding one or more of the technical levels.
Monday & Today's intraday, showed several breakdowns thru technical levels, to the downside - that subsequently DID SHOW acurrately what direction should then most likely follow.

I think the videos are still doing well in trying to teach the art of Technical Analysis (just IMHO). I think you are correct somewhat though, in they used to be much better before they became a pay-service. I mostly like the "Week-Ahead" videos (provided free on the weekend, usually Sunday night).

Follow up on Charles Nenner prediction. On Feb 3 he said, the long-term market cycle will be "bottoming in a couple of weeks", and rally into mid-March (March 9 to be exact).

His short-term cycle suggested the market would bottom in a couple of days, which did not happen. Here it is Feb 20. His credibility is on the line if we don't see something soon...

More follow up on Nenner's prediction.

He did say the S&P 500 could hit 1000 on this rally, which was close. But he also said the rally would start in Mid_february and END on March 9th. It was just getting started on Match 9.

He claimed victory the other day on CNBC, despite being way off with the timing.

Oscar is not quite converted to Birchtree's consistently positive view but still calls for a bullish day in his weekend webinar. He sees the cup and handle bullish more likely than a possible completion of a H&S and a drop. DOW likely to continue above 200. Trans not positive in failure to penetrate the 200. 3350-3352 will be do or die in the Trans. If gets above great, if fails for second time bad.

The Week Ahead

Last Update: 02-Jul-09 08:14 ET

Dow component Alcoa (AA) kicks off the second quarter earnings reporting season on Wednesday, but market participants looking for a flurry of earnings reports will have to wait a week for market-moving names to hit the Earnings Calendar.

Market participants don't have a lot of economic data to digest either. A rather light Economic Calendar is highlighted by the Trade Balance report for May as well as the latest reading on ISM Services and the weekly update on Initial Unemployment claims.

Perhaps the most influential news for the market will come out of the Group of Eight summit in Italy. China has reportedly asked to debate proposals for a new global reserve currency, and commentary or speculation from the summit could influence the dollar and commodities trading.
