Market Talk / July 16 - 22

I have been a reading this message board for about 4 months. I feel compelled to post this message. Poster Wizard has saved me a great deal of money by not being exposed to stocks since May. I am very appreciative of the information that poster Wizard shared. My eyes have been opened to what is really going on with the U.S. economy and my military TSP account has not taken a huge loss and my account has gained in value. My allocation was 15% C Fund/85% S Fund. I do not even want to guess how much I would be down now. It is a good feeling. I just wanted to share that. I know I will be bashed for posting this by the permabullish posters (and the moderators will do nothing about it) so I will not read this board again. It was refreshing to read what was really going on and not reading a rehash on what I watched on the business channels.

[edit by tsptalk - FYI, This is Wizard under another name.]

Israel's PM to speak at 12:00ET. Why not 11:00? They know about our deadline!

1 post to say rah rah Wizard? If you've been reading the board for 4 months (July, June, May, April), that was perfect timing to swoop in and listen to Wizard. Took about a month to get convinced but very fortunite. Good thing you didn't swoop in earlier cause he's been saying bearish things as long as I can remember. If you'd began reading in October and got out in November based on what he was saying you'd have missed a nice rally.

I won't bash Wizard because I appreciate his post even if I lean more bullish and don't always agree with him. However, as to your bash of the moderators I have to say you are out of line. I've seen mostly fair and consistant treatment.

Excuse me for being skeptical of your one and done rah/rah/bash post. Seems kind of suspicious to me.

NavyFlyer,

When the Wizard crawled out he left behind a pair of size 10 shoes. Would you like them if they fit you? They look like they are made by Bass.

I just realized the Wiz is gone. Somebody want to catch me up on what happened? Looks like his account is gone which means he probably requested Tom to remove his stuff. Did he manage to get himself banned or did he just scoff off to reinvent himself (sorry about the sarcasm but everyone knows Wizard was not his first ID nor will it likely be his last). We should start a pool to see who spots his next incarnation first.

He was pissed about his reputation level dropping, of all things, and asked to be deleted from this "POS board."

Tom,

You had it right the first time.

Perhaps I should be more magnanimous but most participants have no idea the level of constipation I had to endure before I expelled that ignoramus.

NavyFlyer = Wizard. LOL - How sad is that?

Poor Wiz......

Thanks for checking Tom. I had to wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes. CAUGHT!! To see something even funnier... check Navyflyer's reputation... it had already gone negative....

{edit} you'll have to take my word for it since the account has already been wiped....

Birchy, you should probably thank Wiz. You probably did extra research to refute some of his ultra-bearish remarks. Competition can be good for the brain. (Maybe I should take Techy off of ignore..... nah...)

FundSurfer,

Think not. You should try drinking a gallon of Go Lite and you'll have my empathy. This is a prep solution for colonoscopy.

There once was a mutt named Wiz,

Who would wee on all things not like his,

So he hiked up a knee,

On an old Birchy tree,

And began to spew out his biz.

Now that Birchtree was staight and true,

Had withstood better pee and poo,

And when the mutt was all done,

Birchy thought, "just for fun",

I'll drop a dead limb on his bum.

Well that mutt thought he was pretty scrappy,

And that pop on the bum pretty crappy,

He turned back with a smile,

But stepped in his own pile,

And all smell him now for a mile!

Haw! MT quit again and tried the same old stuff. Don't ya just love it? Hey! Why don't you just fess-up admit it, beg for forgiveness and we would be happy to have you back, without the crap. You're a smart guy with lots of knowledge, you know we need help?:D

Wiz left!

I would agree with nnuut that Wiz was pretty smart. However, Wiz was becoming more and more intolerant of some bullish posts. The bullish members have a right to express their view, just as the bearish members do!

Wiz wanted some moderation action and I didn't agree, later Tsptalk didn't agree. We did not see the other party as intentionally providing false information. But, Wiz wouldn't follow the ruling, and more accusations futher poisoned his reputation.

This board is big enough for bulls and bears, with differences of opinion. It's the difference of opinion that give us food for thought.

We try to follow the basic rules. And yes we all have accidents. Dents and scratches can be fixed. But, all games have rules. We don't like losing players! The good things that Wiz posted will be missed.

Remember, this board has a way of self-cleaning: PM's, Report bad posts icon, and the Reputation icon, can and do work.

So, if Wiz left because of reputation problems, it was his own doing, and it was in the judgement of his own peers.

Are we feeling the pressure from the culmination of the nine month nesting and the 4 year cycle low as well as the 8 year, 12 year and beyond. Cycles here and cycles there - sure makes me glad I'm a cycle rider. Will wait one more day to pull the trigger and buy myself into happiness. The list is a long one.

Now I must confess I didn't buy enough stock to turn this market around - must be that Robo. But I did go in pretty deep.

Well whoever it was helped the C and S to end in the green for about .02 cents each. It's not much, but the upswing might contine into tomorrow.
