Last Man Standing Football Pool 2016

oh this is a good game tonight. just a few minutes left with broncos in the lead and had a chance to run it out then get shut down. nfl sure got the drama dial turned up tonight. this is way better than wrestling.

6 picked the panthers and 2 picked the broncos. somebody is going to get hurt.

that's right, eat it. you keep running with your noggin first it's gonna keep getting hit. good stuff.

well if you ever want to know what it sounds like in carolina when a bell gets rung, you can always just ask cam newton.

i wonder if he learned any manners from last year and how the press conference will go?

Ultra-competitive Wentz will walk fine line when Eagles camp begins - philly-archives

"I think he's a man of faith first," Smith said. "That's the biggest thing. He puts his faith above everything else. He does it day in and day out."
Wentz has "AO1," which stands for "Audience of One," tattooed on his right wrist. And imprinted on his upper back is "Isaiah 41:10."

only 3 more hours until the eagles play, woohoo!

so this carson wentz guy, he goes to philly which is really close to the armpit of the eastern seaboard new jersey. and what does he do? he buys a place in the country in new jersey, and he drives his pickup into work and he gives teammates a ride and he worships. god i hope that place don't spoil this country boy, he was out hunting geese at his place when he got the call to start the season.

he has some tattoos but not the dennis rodman freakshow kind. stay true and work hard. it is for sure bold and risky to start a true rookie, into the fire, fly or die, but don't worry, he is a long-haul guy.

Yeah, not sure the Panthers should have been favored with the game in Denver. Had the game been in Charlotte... it would have been a different story.

that's a good start, opening game, opening drive, rookie season, throws a perfectly placed pass for touchdown. that wentz kid makes good decisions and has a rocket for an arm. hell yeah.

carson wentz is a quarterback. played it smart and tight, made some mistakes but a huge success for a new guy. driving that philly bus and gots total buyin from his team. you betcha.

Wow, we nearly lost the top two picks today with Seattle having to score in the last 30 seconds to win, and KC coming from 21 points down (17 in 4th qtr.) to win in OT.

Week One First-Half shenanigans:
Carolina up 10-Lost
San Diego up 21-Lost
Saints up 14-Lost
Titans up 10-Lost
Cowboys up 6, twice-(Lost once :) )
Dolphins up 4-Lost
Bears up 7-Lost
J-E-T-S up 3 late-Lost
And Detroit was leading by 18, then trailed late, then won by 2, plus another 2 for the silly last second kick-off return/safety.

I'll probably start a second chance pool by week 3 if we lose 50% by then.

i'm picking the ravens this week over the browns because well, they're the cleveland browns...

i think the eagles over the bears is a lock too, but the rookie will have some rough and tumble stumbles at some point, so i am saving that hammer to drop later...

also the steelers and eagles game next week puts me in a conundrum, but i will deal with that next week.

Gosh, Tom, I remember how grateful I was one year when you did just that same thing after week 1 game! I don't remember how it worked..did the survivors keep going in the original pool?

well there are 17 other folks in bed with me on the ravens this week so maybe that was a smart odds choice, we'll see. i am surprised how many took seattle last week and cam 'superwhine' newton this week, using up all the big guns early. interesting season so far.

I did the same thing.... Ravens over the Browns. Game isn't on TV but got to hear it on the radio as I was going grocery shopping and then on way back.. It was 2 mins before half and it was 9 to 20 with Browns winning... I was thinking Dang I'm gonna be out on week 2...on way back 3rd quarter it was 19 to 20... such a close good game. Was great to listen for awhile. Will see how it ends ... right now I only know its now 25 to 20. Will see how it ends. I guess they are doing like Dallas against Redskins... just gotta hold off a touchdown to win.

whew, that was close. at least both pittsburg and baltimore are out of my stable now and i don't have to worry about racing with those horses again. two dirty teams and i got through the 2nd week of the season now having bet on both of them. i hope they lose every game from here on out. jerks.

oh this minnesota butterfingers defense is frustrating, cause 3 fumbles and can't pick even 1 of them up, and the pass interference lack of discipline on #26 tray wanes is really frustrating. sit down and cut your hair son. they might as well all be playing with seal flippers on.

ha ha. been picking on little 3w all night then he comes up with a pick! hee haw! that's how you break in a new building baby. two more bite the dust.
