I have decided to back out of taking the class at OTA until I can pay cash for the class and I have several thousand dollars available to open a trading account.

But I WILL take the class...one day.
 
It's time to buy MEE - that would help me out. I'll be buying more on these lows next week.
 
I admire that courage. If the bears don't swarm before the close we could see an SPX back to 1100. They are ripping the VIX a new one right now.
 
What do you think of this comment I found regarding this bounce?: T/F?

what baloney. The stock market was down 145 points at the open after the market had digested the news.

The market has rallied on huge volume caused by owners of put options that are closing out their potential short positions. Monday will be a down day after this false floor goes away.

One of the posts in the above thread from another forum said that the home study DVD set is usually available on eBay for a couple hundred dollars so I went to see if I could find one.

There were 2 sets till I bought one of them. This seller has one left if anybody wants it. $220 is a lot more affordable than $4990. :)

I'm over half way through watching these 32 DVD's. I'm going to have to watch the whole thing again in order to try to get the things I've missed. It's a lot of information crammed into a 1 week course. I still plan to take the live class one day. Watching the DVD's should give me a head start.

I've watched a few of these videos lately. The one about Managing 401K accounts with charting was pretty good. N00bies and novice traders should be able to get something out of them. Thanks to poolman for turning me on to thestockmentor.com.

A "trending" market this ain't. Very easy to get crossed up in this volatility. I think buy and hold whether it's stocks or cash is the best way to play this, but it depends on one's time to retirement and appetite for risk.
