Re: have you found your MOJO?

Good morning

With 1 IFT remaining, I'd hate to not use it this month. AGG doesn't look like it's ready to reverse, on the 30 minute charts we have 4 recent candlesticks with a high of 109.99, today's high is 109.98 point is we aren't pushing higher. Stocks appear to be refusing to pullback, that means higher prices are to be had (at least that's the current tendency.) I'm very close to making an entry into stocks, despite the rally we've already had.

Patience may be in order with the Fed speech later today but maybe they will announce QE3 and tomorrow will be a huge up day? Tough call.

Don't let the 2 move limit make you decide. I have let myself do that before and then don't want to get out of stocks because I only have 2 moves (one out and one back in) the next month.

Look at the indicators...do you really think there is another leg up to this...at least a leg that will get more than about 1.5%? If so, go for it!

I think you are correct, if the Fed speech is good, than that could be just the thing we need to get these markets to pullback.

It's a tough call, I think we have another 15-30 potential points on the SPX, but I'm not sure I'm willing to risk an entry here (within the TSP world.)

Don't stand in the doorway when mom and pop get ready to rush out of bonds - you know what will happen. It's more fun playing on the tracks in front of the train.

I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. I'm second guessing my second guesses. But I'm sure glad to be out of bonds!

Welcome to the S fund! I stayed in today and will see how the rest of this week plays out. I would love to ride out the rest of the month and start next month invested instead of having to burn an IFT to enter. We will see...I don't want to give up my gains from this month either.

*crosses fingers for better tomorrows*

Re: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - don't ya just luv roller-coasters?

I don't think anyone who exited AGG today will be dissipointed with the gains they escape with today.

Looks like my mistake is proving to be profitable. Thanks JTH!

I'm going to guess you'll get .07% not bad for a one-day play

Re: have you found your MOJO?

today could be the last jump in point this month. seeing I've watched the bull gain a good 3 months of profits I took the plunge and betting on the I funds playin catch up.

I fund has the best 5 & 10 day price performance with 2.34% & 5.90%

Re: have you found your MOJO?

Good morning

DakotaKid brought up a good point concerning his investment strategy where he stays partially invested most of the time, then partially presses in & out of the price waves. At one time I had given this some considerable thought because I felt it would be the best way to work within the confines of the TSP realm, but I didn't implement this strategy because it would have made it more difficult to become number 1 on the tracker. You see, it is my competitiveness towards others which had been my greatest downfall. The reality is I should start caring more about my own personal account, than comparing my account to others. I will make an IFT this month and at a minimum it will be a partial IFT. I also want to note that for the first time since the great Unlimited IFT era, my contributions have started up again.
