3d/10d and 20d sma direction is down. 50d sma is close behind. Momentum is negative, more than double what is was Friday. QUOTE]

Hey jp, just curious...how are you measuring momentum? Also, when you mention the sma's, are you looking only at the S&P, or other indices as well?

I like your logic. You're obviously "on the ball". :)

I follow the NASDAQ. I use slow stochastics and and composite ROC based on 5/15/25 days. I also look at the 14d ROC. I'm just trying out different things to see what seems to work best. Not enough info to really make an adequate assessment at this time. I can't put it all together because I am still learning how to use each individual indicator.

Ok, this is what I want to do and am trying to figure out how to do. Use the 3d sma and 10d sma for buy and sell signals and use slow stochastics and volume for confirmation. I just dont have the know how to put it all together...

How accurate would you be if you only utilized the 3d sma and 10d sma and ignored the stochastics and volume confirmation aspects?

Seems to me that the 3d EMA and 10d EMA are more accurate?

You're on the right track. Pick a few indicators, do some backtesting, fine tune them, then repeat the process with some new indicators. Eventually you'll find some that really work well. Just keep in mind that there is no "magic indicator(s)" that work perfectly every time. Good work! :)

I bought more LNG today at $17.45 - I also noticed than ANR held relative performance yesterday. Perhaps all the sellers have left town.

I got my LNG at 17.60. I wanted it and I got it. I'm not a patient person. :) It'll be sweet when the market turns around. No worries here.

Oh. Thank you. Nice to know someone is looking at my system.

Hello Gang! I've been lurking around here every once in a while. Don't have a whole lot to say. That and not making a whole lot of money puts a damper on things.
How about that Sprint, huh? I purchased 10 shares at $2.78 and it's current return is 75.90%. Wish I had bought a truck load of those babies...:notrust:

So what have I missed? Anyone get banned in my absence?:D
