Re: Signal

Amoeba got out - but then again he doesn't dare get in very deep. The water never gets above his ankles - oh well.

Re: Signal

Anyone getting out today?

Maybe bail to safety today, tomorrow? The S index is at the top of the ascending channel, and from its beginning, creating a upward trending, narrowing wedge. Also, another 100 basis point and we at two significant long term resistance points. The quetion is how will Consumer Sentiment come out with the rising, over $4/gal,gasoline price tomorrow, Tues. 3/27.

Any guess on the Consumer Sentiment?

Re: Signal

Well, as i posted on my thread, i did not have plans to bail this week. Then........Nsurf9 had to throw a wrench in that....got me guessing now:confused:

Re: Signal

No problem, we've got new IFTs in 4 trading days!

Italy's Consumer Index significantly improved today - surprised me, anyway - if theirs can improve, with their immediate economic problems and oil/gas pressing upwards, may us too? And there's still a whole lot of savings accounts make "five times the average checking account return" . . . which is nothing, looking for a little interest and attention.

BAILED TO G - FEELS LIKE THE FEAR FACTOR AS TURNED A LITTLE TOO JOVIAL. I'LL WAIT FOR APRIL IFTs.

Re: Signal

I saw that. I probably should have taken my profits and went back in before the end of the month (I still have all my IFTs). Didn't think about it until after the clock. Oh well..

Statisically, April is a very good month for stocks. I think the last five years saw gains of around 4% for the S&P (if I remember correctly).

Re: Signal

That's what I hear. We should be able to see our resident Bull in flight...;)

Keeping my fingers crossed. There is also an old theroy about staying out of the market between May and October (I think). Certainly would have been a good idea for me as I was hammered last summer during the political turmoil in Washington.

Re: Signal

Tom had this seasonal bar graph that showed the average gains by month...I can't find it anywhere. Wish he would post the link..;)

I have heard people say "Sell in May and Stay Away".
