Okay. got it PITAI was thinking dead cat bounce. TSP sit isn't letting me log in. Keeps saying this site is not secure.
Another vote for DCB. The DWCPF is not recovering as well as the SPY. That tells me there is no conviction.
Also that open gap will be filled at some point.

.....
(I guess you all are now going to tell me you get paid on a different day, and it doesn't matter).
What say you?
That is a really good observation!So- I got another theory to throw out here and see if it flies. Here goes.
TODAY is my payday. My bank account gets it's deposit today, just like every other TUESDAY. It's my Agency's payday.
And it's the day that MY TSP DEPOSIT hits the stock market .
Now- stay with me..... I'm just ONE LITTLE FISH out of a big sea....BUT- there are a lot of others at my Agency who are the same as me.
And that means a TON of money flows INTO the stock market, every other Tuesday. (Today).
Causing the market to nudge up a little bit, because a million people are pouring cash into the market.
Now I'm a FG-13 (GS-13), giving like 14% of my pay into the stock funds. My theory is a lot of others are doing the same.
And I am watching, every other tuesday, and it seems, more often than not, that the market ticks up a little on the days that employees are having their money turned into stock shares.
So---- am I right? Do you think that WE have an affect , enough to be seen in a price blip?

Yep got paid 5/17I have a similar situation to tom4jean, paid Thursday overnight for Friday. That was this past Friday; tom4jean, same for you? There was a pop Friday morning. I'm curious now as to the spread across weeks and if the 'every other week' deposits correlate.
I get paid the first of every month and nothing goes into my TSP. You guys are messing the system up.
Yeh, but you are only taking money OUT of the TSP, while we are all putting it IN.
Maybe YOU are why it goes DOWN every once in a while...![]()

LOL, Hate to throw a wrench in your analogy James, but I haven't tapped my TSP yet. It sounded good though.
