James, you must be really important! ;) Isn't Asian hospitality nice? Imagine if a Korean representative visited your workplace in the U.S. - probably everybody in the office would be like "Hey, I've got plans tonight, but enjoy your stay at the Holiday Inn!" Not in Asia though. Good times. Have fun!

Sensei
you are exactly right about asian hospitality. my Mom (japanese) and my son (25 yrs old) went to Japan back in June to visit family and freinds. my son was amazed at how nice freindly and hospitable all the Japanese were. they would go out of their way to make you comfortable and would not take a tip. that was strickly a no no. they just did it proudly and graciously. M y son was amazed at that and their work etic. He said they work long hours and 6 days a week. they spent 5 days and had a ball. i was so glad they were able to do it since my mom is 83 and this may be her only chance to visit her remaining siblings. it made me so so happy for them.we could learn a lot

The day job.

Today I was at an aeronautical research facility-

- and I also got to fly a full-size supersonic jet simulator.

I did really well on the flight, right up until the final landing.

Missed the first two approaches- then over-committed on the third approach.

I came in too hot and too high, and overran the runway, and ended up crashing.

Drat.

I did not survive.

Note to self- In future- stick to slower, more controllable aircraft.

Good Pics James!
Congratulations on 10,000 posts, Yer right behind me!:D

Do you remember this avatar Birddog 02.JPG? I don't know if it's the same model but it is a Bird Dog. I understand Spaf flew one in Vietnam.

James congratulations on your 10,000 post. Quite an achievement. Only 4,000 plus for me to get there.

In regards to your flying expertise I used to fly single engine Cessna's and Piper's.

Hey- I am thinking we're REALLY stretched here on the positive side. We've had one heck of a run-up, and it's time for a breather.

I moved my money off - mostly to the safety of "G", with a bit in "L-Income" just for good measure.

But I am thinking we're due for a slide back of 3% or so any day now.

Out today, and will be looking for a nice buying opportunity in the next few days to jump back in- AFTER the pause that is overdue comes.

My neck is beginning to itch. Time for a rest.

Good luck.

Thinking we may be getting close to a point to jump back in . I was debating it this morning until I looked at the P and F chart for the S fund . That scared me away. At least for today. Watching charts closely now.
