Hi.... What does p and f chart mean? I also was thinking to jump in to S fund this morning and see no reason not to at this point.....

Thinking we may be getting close to a point to jump back in .

I was thinking the same thing, but you know how we always get the profit taker slow down?

Since for the most part folks had a really good year in investing, I wonder if maybe it has started early. (Holiday)

May be time to take the profits on the table and go to the house! Its been a great year! Be happy, happy, happy!!! Sometimes reaching for that last nickel will get your fingers broken. JMHO

Here you go Annie- P&F stands for Point and Figure chart.
http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/technical-analysis/5131-p-f-chart-school.html

It's a really old system of charting stock prices, but I have found value in using it to temper my emotions.

And here is today's "S" fund P&F Chart link:
$EMW - Graphical P&F - Charting Tools - StockCharts.com=

It did a "double bottom breakdown" yesterday, with a new negative price objective target of 920- and that made me more cautious.

Good luck.
Thanks James...Tried reading up on this type charting, but still not sure I understand it..will need to review it further. Studied S fund today looking more at candle pattern and so I still do not see short term direction. I guess I'll mull it over a little more.

Now at a Tim hortons charging my phone. Looks like at least midnight before power is restored at the absolute earliest, and it might be as much as several days.

No heat
No water

No internet except this phone at Tim hortons wifi hotspot.

Merry Christmas all .

Move to Anchorge, Alaska. We got all you missing. No long term outages here.

Bad news-

The furnace just quit.

The power exhaust blower motor started making a racket, and ten minutes later it just quit.

It is 15 degrees outside.

Looks like I have to fire up the oven and bake cookies all night- the furnace repair place is closed till Thursday.

Merry chilly Christmas!

Come to Hawaii!! It's 80 degrees with cool tradewinds in Honolulu. Santa is arriving with his bag of $$ for all the good little TSP'ers, via a surfboard!

Melekalikimaka and Hauoli Makahiki Hou!! :D

Snow and Ice, slippery roads, salt rusts your car, basements flood, pipes burst. That's just a few of the reasons I don't live up there in the NORTH!

move to montana or north dakota. sure it's cold sometimes, but if you can make it to the neighbors they will take you in and share their hotdish and their hearth. no matter what, even if they dislike you. what the heck it's better than having you die on the porch anywho. it takes a village.

merry christmas james.

sorry to hear it James. Get yerself some space heaters...I had stormy north winds blow out pilot light on gas furnace twice one winter, kept the pilot blown out all night both times, wind coming straight down the vent. Sleeping bag piled on blankets, space heater on to keep the pipes from freezing, went out dancin' til the bars closed. wearing my winter felt pac boots. better than sittin home feelin sorry for myself. ah but I was younger then. Now I just sits.
