Missing a FedEx package? I noticed when I went to track a package that I hadn't received yet that the tracking feature on the FedEx website showed it had been sitting in Chicago for 10 days. With the weather and all, I expected there might be a delay in my "due to arrive date", but 10 days seemed a bit long. I called FedEx yesterday and after finally getting through the automated phone system (it has no "talk to representative" feature and I'm not sure how I finally got hold of anyone. I might have said something like "look you piece of ***!), I was able to talk to an actual person and told the package was apparently off the grid and that someone would call me tomorrow (today). Just got that call and after giving them a description of the package, I was told the shipping label had fallen off and it was sitting in Salt Lake City, which is where I guess most homeless FedEx packages go. Anyway, I should have the package in four days, which is good because it's a Xmas gift.
It was a pretty simple process, other than the automated phone system, and they found the package pretty quickly. I'm just posting my experience here in case anyone is waiting on a package that hasn't been delivered yet. Give it a couple of days and then call. If I had waited till next week, I wouldn't have gotten the package by Xmas.
