Intrepid_Timer's PUBLIC Account Talk

Does anyone know what type of plant this is and how to care for it? What should one do with it over the cold winter months also?

FYI, I had some Hostas sitting in containers that I just stuck in the garage last winter and never watered them or them anything. I actually forgot about them until some time in March/April when I noticed they were beginning to grow again. A little water and sun and they were probably the healthiest Hostas I've ever seen.............

Don't you just love how the market bounces off of it's early lows and then someone comes out after the fact and says "oh, I sold my short position early this morning before the bounce". I may not always be right, but at least I'm accountable...................;)

And that was why you (and eventually EW_ret) started tracking people's account returns in the forum here many years ago. It seemed like some new person would show up every now and then bragging how they were up 100% this year. But once you started tracking them, you obviously jinxed them because they never seemed to do any better than anyone else after that. :)

Of course, obviously just a jinx!

Missing a FedEx package? I noticed when I went to track a package that I hadn't received yet that the tracking feature on the FedEx website showed it had been sitting in Chicago for 10 days. With the weather and all, I expected there might be a delay in my "due to arrive date", but 10 days seemed a bit long. I called FedEx yesterday and after finally getting through the automated phone system (it has no "talk to representative" feature and I'm not sure how I finally got hold of anyone. I might have said something like "look you piece of ***!), I was able to talk to an actual person and told the package was apparently off the grid and that someone would call me tomorrow (today). Just got that call and after giving them a description of the package, I was told the shipping label had fallen off and it was sitting in Salt Lake City, which is where I guess most homeless FedEx packages go. Anyway, I should have the package in four days, which is good because it's a Xmas gift.

It was a pretty simple process, other than the automated phone system, and they found the package pretty quickly. I'm just posting my experience here in case anyone is waiting on a package that hasn't been delivered yet. Give it a couple of days and then call. If I had waited till next week, I wouldn't have gotten the package by Xmas.

BTW, since the shipping label fell off, I am a bit concerned about the condition of the package................

Sorry to here it was stuck in SLC. We are pretty socked it with weather right now, so I hope it got out last night before this latest storm hit. On the bright side it should be a white christmas.

Merry Christmas all! May each of you find one of these in your stockings! :)
