Opinion seems to be that Santa Clause will rescue the day. Maybe true, and maybe tomorrow or maybe not. I know people are putting money, including myself, into the shopping spirit market however S fund is giving very little dip riding on what I consider overbaught thanks to last week.

So China and wikileaks, N/S Korea, europe money, US easing again. Waiting for S fund to shed some weight so I can get IFT in, right now charts don't support it IMO.
 
Yea, Im also waiting to jump back into the S fund, only one IFT remaining. Looking for more conformation, looking forward for you to make the big move. By the way, does any one see that since July, we may have the left side of a H & S forming? Maybe its just wishful thinking that a pull back will take place soon. With any luck, the tea leaves will be easier to read in the next couple of days...

No sarcasm intended. I just know the markets like to go against the herd. I wished "everyone" good luck, bulls and bears, because I don't like to see anyone lose money. Me most of all me............;) Financials are lagging today while the small caps are up slightly so right now, I think most people are happy. Except for maybe those in the I fund with the dollar strengthening..........we will find out in the next couple days if we get a pop or a poop........... Today my indicators are still saying poop...............if they change soon, it will most likely be Wed. at the earliest.............

Per Parker, that turn down is imminent, either now or at tomorrows open....perhaps news tonight of a settlement on the tax issue will pop the markets at the open, then drop....

I'm looking for about a one week drop, maybe only down to 1200ish though, then getting in for the Santa Rally.
 
Earlier, Dennis said poop on Dec 8 but Kudlow's group tonight says the new compromise is hugely bullish so I guess that means a pop.
 
It could potentially mean a real big pop - I'm so ready. Then we can squeeze out a little poop from the small caps.

I would say the market peaks just north of 1,230 this wk, then plummets later in the month to ~1,060 between X-mas and NY's days. [note that I am always wrong, so this won't happen]

I am going to be a follower this month...hold off on my early moves unless I_T or F_T goes in first.

Well, the S&P went to around 1234. So far, you're prediction is correct. Nice call.
