Intrepid_Timer's PUBLIC Account Talk

Well, keep in mind I am certainly not a chart artist, but here is what I meant... the week +/- runup prior to OPEX Day 2009-2010. The arrow represents OPEX Day.
Looks trade-able to me. What do you think? Don't know if I will have time this week, but if someone pulls the net gain/loss of trading in the markets the 9 days or 1 week before OPEX, then out until the next 9 days or 1 week prior, what return would you have over this timeframe? This chart is by week. This approach would fit within our IFT limitations.
I think this is the trend RuffRyder was to trying to identify before he fell off the face of the earth..... :)
PS... just an observation- 3 out of the 4 Red weeks in 2009 essentially washed, for minimal gain loss.
So out of 19 weeks, 14 were up substantially, 3 washed, and 2 lost.
For me, the washed weeks are winners, so with that in mind, that makes it 89% probability of a win over 1.75 years and the crash.

I've done some sudies in the past on Options Expiration and if you pull up a farmer's almanac you'll find some tidbits in there too. Truth is I've not found a pattern I've felt I could get an edge off of, enough to justify making a trade. My view is it can increase volitilaty, and/or increase the intensity of price direction.

Thanks for changing my handle Tom! Birch is the investor, not I.............;)

Is it possible to change the name of this account talk thread? No biggie if not I guess..............

Just made a slight adjustment to my trading system and my TSP system. With this adjustment, I would be going to G fund today and buying Faz. We'll see how it goes going forward...............

Well, today will be a telling day as far as my adjustment goes. My adjustment is telling me to sell equities. Pre-adjustment, I'd be staying long...........

Must be the clean air and open space, the distinct ring of a well hit ball, and the smell of freshly cut grass while under a shade tree that has honed his market divining instincts...
I did investigate whether it was based on the USD, but it would be a long shot if so...

Shew, long day at the golf course. Had to cut fairways in between showers and golfers. Man, life sucks sometimes..................:p

I have read your entire thread and find it very interesting.
I love the smell of new mown grass; however, I am not a golfer. I prefer to play with and ride my horse.

Haven't been on a horse since my grandfather stopped being a rancher when I was about 11-12. Would like to get a couple here in few years. I think they are beautiful animals. :)

Alright... what's the idea here... no YouTube?

You don't need all that object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" crap. You don't even have to use the youtube button at the top of the reply box. Just paste the address in the message field and vBulletin will do the rest.
