Just an FYI for any new folks at tsptalk that see someone who is doing well, on the tracker or otherwise, and are considering following their moves. Click on the autotracker link at the top of the forum and then look at past year's results under "Prior Tally Archives" to see how they have done in the past. If you pick a year from 2010 to now, you can click on "username" and it will give you the results alphabetically. Anything before 2010 you'll have to do a little searching, but it's probably worth it. There have been lots of one hit wonders here through the years.
 
Good to know. It'd be interesting to see how the first years stack up to actual returns. I know in my case I've forgotten to put in my IFT's by the deadline here, it's just getting into the habit of it.
 
I am new to this service and site as of last month.
And I totally forgot to update my autotracker after last month's move to G. I did enter the move prior to that.
Question: Is there any way to correct this nonentry problem?
Does autotracker still think I'm in S and tracking the recent gains of the S fund?
Is there a way to correct this?... not sure what to do.. if anything
Please advise.... thanks.

If I may, I would also like to add that if they are not on the Auto Tracker, then everything they say in regards to their system or returns is not proven to be true. For some things, I am willing to give someone some leeway, but not for performance. If someone is spouting their performance, yet refuses to join the Auto Tracker, then they have not proven they can earn my trust.
 
You'd have to send Tom (tsptalk) a private message and ask. Just an FYI, this is my public account and not my premium service account. I'm pretty sure everyone knows you signed up for my premium service by now.........;)

For some of the newer folks here.

Ask yourself, what other jerk could be banned from the forum (more than once) and still be allowed to come back. We should be thanking Tom for setting aside his pride and doing what’s best for the forum. Price pays, some folks may think me to be too nice to the Milkman, I admit it, I fully indorse his service because I know the majority of people here cannot duplicate his performance. The fact is, he is one of the nicest, most genuine people we may never have the honor of meeting. He has proven performance, I’ve crunched the numbers, I know of nobody else with a higher 5-year performance than Intrepid Timer.

So when Intrepid Timer pisses you off (and he will) you should be honored he took the time to do so.
 
I have to reply to this and I'm not referring to anyone in particular (speaking generally) nor did I open this door.

Also ask and answer for yourself, does having great returns give one the right to be a jerk to you? We should not make excuses for uncivilized behavior. Returns don't make the man (woman). But if you like it, I love it... for you to be treated in a disrespectful way, for example, for the right amount of cash in return.

Ps: others too have been banned several times and allowed to return.

Um, thanks, I think? For the record, there are plenty on this site that think I'm a nice guy and have been very helpful to them. Pretty much all of my past bans were for being a bit too over-jealous with new tsptalk members coming here bragging about having some great trading system with absolutely no record or accountability. That's why we started the tracker in the first place. Obviously, none of those claims held up as none of them are still around and my last "ban" happened in late 2007. Perhaps they aren't around because of 2008? I've always stated that the true test a good timing system won't happen until we go through another big bad bear market, and that will come. Of course I'm sure userque will say it's probably because I was a jerk to them, but he was probably one that I confronted in the past too. He did say "others" have been banned and allowed to return right? :rolleyes:

Being a jerk to someone is that someone's opinion. Maybe "the jerk" didn't see it as being a jerk at all? I think you came here to kiss Ebb's butt and make him look good, but that's just my opinion right? Now you can kindly take your brown nose back over to Ebb's place. I don't kiss butt and I don't care who's paying me.

As I said, I was speaking generally. Your buddy brought up the word jerk. Go cry to him. I didn't come here to kiss butt, only kick it. I expect to win the Challenge. I also expect that that will make Ebb look bad, not good.

My nose is an attractive light brown, and I'll go where it's legal and allowed.

Who cares about the S fund challenge when it can't be used with TSP? What is your real TSP return? Oh crap, I asked a question so I guess I'll have to endure another comment.........

BTW, it looks like there are only about 3 people actively involved in "the challenge", so I think your odds are good that you might win it. What do you win? Dang it, another question!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as you have ETF strategies, some care about trading their personal accounts and not just the TSP. I thought that was obvious, maybe your anger is getting in the way of logic? My return is on the tracker, and as I finalize my system, it will improve. Unlike you and Ebb, I haven't been developing my system for years, just weeks.:)

I think your math checks out. Good job. Everyone doesn't have to have a prize in order to be part of something. I'll be in the challenge as long as there is another to challenge. Oops, of course I meant "over-zealous" not "over-jealous"....................you outta see some of the mistakes I make on my commentaries when I'm in a hurry..........:o
