Major markets in Asia closed mixed Wednesday on the U.S. Fed action, although markets in Tokyo were again closed for a holiday there. Major European markets were mostly lower, although France's CAC was slightly higher in early trading.

Treasury prices were slightly lower in early trading, lifting the yield on the 10-year note to 4.17 percent from the 4.16 percent level late Tuesday. The dollar lost ground on the euro and the yen.

TGRMIKE, thanks. So how do you see the varied funds? In specific, the I fund. It seems your are attracted to this fund as I am. I appreciate Mike's comment's regarding C being a better play and it has indicated such during the recent month. However, I see the dollar sliding by 8% against other curriencies by YE and a solid list of company holdings in the I fund which rate S&P500 overseas standing. There is so much opionion on the global market envirnonment that it is argumentative. Some say S&P at 1300 and other say a 3% loss of current position by year's end. Just wanted to know I am watching your posts and appreciate such!

Well, I understand Mike's comments about "C" Fund and I guess history says that's the best place for long term investment. However, the last couple of years the S and I have kicked ---! The I for the last 12 mlonths has beaten the C and S by ~12 and ~ 8 points. I'm going to ride the I for awhile but keep a close watch. Currently 50% I, 30% S and 20% C.
