Not even the best non-farm payroll number in four years could soothe raw nerves as the major indexes posted another high volume loss; the fourth in a row. Although non-farm payrolls were above expectations, the Unemployment Rate rose from 9.7% to 9.9%, a bit higher than expected.
It appears the Euro debt contagion continues to be the thorn in the side of the market, and that has nothing to do with fat fingers.
Of interest today, I noted that treasuries and the 10 year note gave back some of their gains from this week in spite of the continued selling pressure in equities. Here's today's charts:

You have to go back to October 2008 for lower readings. Both are on a sell.

A bit of a bounce here. Monday gains in store? I wouldn't bet on it. Still on sells here too.

TRIN and TRINQ are also flashing sells.

BPCOMPQ dipped some more. Another sell.
All signals are flashing sells, which of course keeps the system on a sell. We've had significant technical damage in a very short period of time, and the story offered by various sources about fat fingers causing Thursday's severe sell-off was apparently returned to the sender on Friday with a finger too.
I'll be posting Top 15 and Top 50 charts this weekend. See you then.
