My Closing Thoughts - and please know it's been a very long day.

I hold this one higher than humans - and among the best

DOGS and all life that joins with them (Coyotes; Wolfes..)
Here you have a Pack Leader - that is dominate and all do well to follow his lead. A dog's most blissful state is knowing they are 100% in accordance with and fully submitted to the Leader.

This is probably my FAVORITE -
I see this as the ultimate submission to the Leader; Christ did all things in 100% submission to his Father - and we should have this exact same attitude. We could learn a lot from dogs.

Very good Steady! You know I totally agree with you on this one!

But something to keep in mind. The pack leader isn't necessarily the alpha male [source: Busch]. The alpha female takes the reins in certain groups since wolf rankings are based on strength and the ability to win fights, not gender. Although other wolves within the pack may copulate when prey abounds, the alpha pair are normally the only ones to mate. Multiple female wolves in the same pack can cause problems, however, since they fight with each other more often than males.

Whoever coined the phrase "cat fights" obviously didn't know this!

Although I don't see this exact scenario...what fun if Obama/Hillary and McCain/Rice were the tickets....with Pelosi running the House! And if McCain/Rice wins...fireworks with Congress for next 4 years.

IMO the tickets will be Obama/Webb and McCain/Rice. Edwards is dead politically for the next few years and Hillary is too dangerous for Obama to pick as VP.

Steady, nice post.

It's true, government is unavoidable for now. The fact that it exists means that humanity is lacking. The basic premise of the U.S. government is that people are selfish, so we have the "balance of powers."

I look forward to the day when government comes from the heart - the kingdom of God is within you.

The message we have is that change and salvation happens on the inside. If that's the message, why are many of the messengers caught up in trying to change other people's outsides?

All I got to say is, I'm almost ready for Dec. 23rd, 2012..Just a few little things to tidy up yet..;)

Spiritually speaking..

Oh, and on the market talk. I'm just spitting out a wild guess here and guessing that we're looking to test the 1200 level on the S&P 500. If we break it.... yikes.

I wonder how easy it would be to manipulate you or I. Every day, we hear sounds from the radio, tv, loudspeakers, etc. We can "tune" it out, but we are always listening. What would happen if the words were repeated with just enough oddity that it gets our subconscious to listen? For a couple years now, I've been a big fan of Derren Brown. He always shows bizarre ways that people can be told what to do without them thinking they were even told. He's entertaining, but it's scary to think that lots of the techniques he is exploiting have been in use for many years now.

Here's a short vid of what happens in a mall where everyone just wanders around ignoring the loudspeaker:

That is freaky!

That is freaky!

Did you notice how he slipped in little phrases in the announcement? Instead of saying "We hope that your shopping experience is an uplifting one," he says , "We hope that your shopping experience is an upLIFTing ARM." He stresses parts so slightly. At some point, he also says, "Pay attention." In a normal announcement, it would not have had the word pay in there.

His whole announcement is full of little "flukes" like that. I need to learn this stuff so my kids will become compliant!

I took a series of marketing classes once and one of them was on subliminal messaging. Interesting stuff! Everything you see and hear in an advertisement has been carefully thought out. For example, the most interesting visuals in a prescription drug ad are shown during the audio warnings blurb so that you don't pay attention to the caution that the dry eyes drops may cause bubonic plague, rabies, impotence or death.

Lady

Good stuff, indeed, Lady. It makes me wonder just how much is being pushed to us, besides just trying to get us to buy a product. Could there be an effort to get us to behave in certain ways or to think a certain way, just to make the masses more predictable to some interested parties?

Yuh think??! :suspicious::D

I know that several journalism students and several political science students were in my subliminal messaging course. Probably a coincidence. Yea, that's it ..... ;)

No. They would never do that. They're there to help us.

In a funny way, it is a lot like a seance. In a seance, the participants create expectations just by the things the leader is saying and doing. It is those expectations (that the participants created for themselves), that create all the experiences of the seance. In the end, it is the participants that WANTED an experience, so they created most of it themselves.

So, in politics, the voters are creating expectations and placing the power of those expectations onto a few individuals. In the end, it is the voters who WANT to be told things. That is how we make ourselves susceptible to the powers of subliminal messaging.
