Epic's Account Talk

Yes, that gap will get filled, but that's the nature of the VIX as it tends to oscillate rather than trend. But it may not get filled this year as we head into the normally quiet bullish part of the year, although there have been some nasty exceptions like 2018 and 2022.

So we seem to have creeped into the gap areas on both C and S Funds. Some support kinda at the 18 day average (blue line), but will that be enough???
I guess we'll find out come Monday. Should be fun........

They're making it close, but a little buying at the end of the day kept the charts above support going into the weekend. Monday will be interesting. Two gaps within reach. One up, one down.

Treasuries are all down which means G-Fund will take a slight hit, so I decided to dip my toes in and set myself up to hopefully catch whatever Christmas Rally we might have. Since the election, most seem to be quite optimistic about the future overall, and when that's the case, they like to splurge and spend money. Also, most talking heads seem to feel we will get some kind of rally in Dec.
With that being said, I'll be 80G, 15C, 5S
I'm a bit nervous 😬, but hopefully it will work out, and I'm so sick of sitting on the sidelines.

Oh, no! Capitulation? We're in trouble.

j/k, good luck! :D(y)

Need some money for a laptop. Lookin at the Lenovo yoga pro 9i 16, but I don't know squat about laptops, so I'm still researching. Seems like a good value on sale for somewhere between 12 to 13 hundred. I'm just not sure yet. Gonna keep lookin..... 🤓 (y)

I got a good deal on a Dell - Inspiron 16” 2-in-1 Mini-LED Touch Laptop Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor - 32GB Memory – 1TB SDD - Intel Arc Graphics from Best Buy. Normally $1499.99 for $500 off.

I hate working on laptops in general, but I have to have one for when I travel.

After buying many bargain laptops that soon take 10, 15+ minutes to boot up and become incredibly slow, I went with a higher end option with my current laptop and I love it in comparison. I did cost more, but I can actually turn it on and can get stuff done before the old one would boot up.

Decide what you need, like do you need a DVD/CD player, how many USB ports, do you want quality sound (for watching movies / music) or it it just for email and lightwork, etc.?

Can the memory be expanded? How big?

The one you listed looks fairly beefy. Could be good. The reviews look encouraging with battery life the only concern.

Not a fan of laptops myself, and I've never owned one. Figured I'd grab one for the portability and as a back-up also.
My Dell XPS 8900 desktop has some years on it but is still working fine.
With Windows 10 not being supported after Oct. 2025 (and not sure if I can update to win 11 / PC requirements), having a back-up might not be a bad idea. Also heard they (Dell) will be doing away with the XPS line. Still not 100% sure on that.
With all the Holiday deals out there, it's a good time for a great discount price, but I'm in no rush. Just thinking ahead. 🤔
Thanks !!!! (y)

My desktop and laptop will not support Windows 11 so I knew I would have to start looking for deals mid-summer next year. My laptop was purchased in 2012 and is really slow and my desktop is just a little younger. I was debating whether to get a new laptop or not since I don't use it much, but I have stuff I would like to do that a laptop would make it easier to accomplish. I saw this deal on the Dell and figured I might not see such a good deal next year, so I bought it. The only thing I'm disappointed with, and it's my fault because I didn't look hard enough, is it is WIFI only. There is no port for a CAT 5/6 cable. My whole house is wired with CAT 5/6 cables to every room. But not a deal breaker. A few years ago, I installed a 4TB SSD hard drive into my desktop and I hope I can put that into the new one I will have to buy next year. More research.
Hope you find something that will make your life a little easier.

Yeah, I hear ya. We're in the same boat. I'm in no way a computer person, but I enjoy learning and researching about it, and I can do things up to a certain point. I figure I got a year to figure it out before they pull support for windows 10. I also wonder how far off are all the new desktops that will be coming out with all the new AI chipsets and software. I'll probably wait till the last minute so I can get the latest and greatest.
Thanks for the input. I appreciate it !!!

Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 227,000 in November, and the unemployment rate
changed little at 4.2 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment
trended up in health care, leisure and hospitality, government, and social assistance. Retail
trade lost jobs.
