The best way to handle a Mr. R type may be to point out blatant inconsistencies, but avoid the potential to injure in a significant way.
In this way one can be held accountable, but without the unpleasantness of "flaming". I believe the goal is to rehabilitate.

When one learns that they cannot just spew forth without gaining the unwelcome scrutiny of the board, they are less likely to behave in a way that is recalcitrant

I completely agree, but this is not moderating - this is peer review pressure, and I whole heartedly support it.

EK, good call from the system today, and may be also for the rest of the week as well!
I agree - kudos for EK missing the big drop both today and last week! I didn't miss last week's but I did today's. I switched to G Fund yesterday only because oil was approaching $100/bbl and the market downside risks seem to be heavily outweighing the upside potential (just an overall feeling from all the data). I haven't been "lucky" like this very many times, I might add.

EK, and largely everyone else, please don't think I pretend to be wiser than anyone else - or that I have some piece of advise that is going to blow everyone away. Mr. R - I'm writing this mainly for you my brother and friend. I know I draw on music a lot, but sometimes certain songs say it better than anything else and so I'll take from George Harrison.
Isn't it a pity, oh isn't it a shame.
How we break each other's hearts and cause each other pain.
How we take other's love, without thinking anymore,
Forgeting to give back, oh isn't it a pity.
OK, Mr. R - let me explain. It is easy to get caught up in the moment and when that happens it's impossible to recognize that the thrills of victory and the agony of defeat are very short lived experiences. EK - offered his system as a gift of love for all of us. Most of the members of this site honestly have a similar mindset - that's why we are so open with each other. But you my friend were only out for yourself - screw the rest (who cares about them) because they only get mad I'm rolling perfect numbers using your dice and all of them are just jealous. Ha ha Ebb - Ha ha the rest of you big shots who think you're anything - because you aren't anything compared to me ka ching - I won again Ka ching Ka ching.... When things are going well you take whatever you can and almost seem to enjoy telling the others ha ha ha (that is causing pain). That is taking EK's gift of love without thinking anymore. As soon as the system fails you - you abandon it and tell everyone it's a crop of s###. That is breaking his heart - because he had no intention of failing you and was thrilled when he realized how big his following and support grew.

I will... ;)

EK:

Please keep posting the 5 days in advance. I have found that your early predictions do better than your later ones, so I like to see all the early predictions, please. Thank you :)

SkyPilot, I like your new avatar... ;)

Wow! That's some volatility there Mr. R ! Just a few posts ago you were all "Ek's the man"! Did you lose a buck or two?

You blew in, you blew up, now I guess you'll blow out... It's okay, the Ek doesn't need you to cheer for him, and he doesn't need you slam him along with the other "guru's".

So Mr. R - please know I feel for you and honestly would love to extend my friendship to you. These fleeting moments come and go and there are many years left for us to enjoy each other. Those times you take a fairly big loss make you feel empty and those are the times it's really good to have each other. But no matter how much you gain one week or lose the next - countless opportunities will avail themselves throughout the years and this week (or last) will fade out as meaningless. The important thing is the long run - and the friendships you can establish on this site - are not like the fleeting highs and lows - of the markets. We are way more solid than that - we are disappointed when you lose and happy when you win. Deep down we're troubled if your behavior seems selfish and uncaring - because you're rejecting the friendship and family all of us honestly want to give. Give us a chance to show we care - and you will find acceptance. Give us a chance to show our love and you find compassion and forgiveness. Now that you've been hit with disappointment - please let us really show how much we want you as part of our family.

Thank you for ypur lines and encouragement.... You are totally correct....
The Neural Network Artificial Intelligence System prognostics may need some human interpretations, perhaps interventions... For example never move to
G - Fund if it is going to cause loses... it is better to wait patiently on the I - Fund till it pulls back up and take profit and then continue following the Neural Network Artificial Intelligence System prognostics in a good entry point... of course it is an art... ;) I do not see the G - Fund as a safety... but as a result to take profit from the I - Fund... and as a place to be while the
I - Fund sink or settle down and move into the I - Fund... Just a humanoid thoughts... :)

EK, don't sweat it man - no system is perfect and in this environment only the extremely lucky come out ahead. Personally I have found over the years (this one included) that it is much more profitable to remain in the high risk (at least a few days) while the markets are flying. The past month or 2 are sporactic insanity, and as soon as I jump to G for safety I'll lose another 2% gain.

Anyway, I think your system proved itself in 10/07 and I'm still a believer.

EK:

I don't know enough about your system, so what I am writing here is mainly a guess, and my request/suggestion is based on that guess. In short, if the guess is wrong, please ignore this.

So here it is, I just look at your Nov 7 entry. I am assuming that when you run your AI on Nov 7, you entered the data through Nov 6 (i.e. trade as it should be, and not as predicted by AI previously), then you used the real data as support to run the future days. So based on this, data on Mo Nov 5 should be G, Tu Nov 6 should be I (instead of I/G as predicted by AI previously). Does this make any sense? or am I totally off by now?

And here is my suggestion: as you run future days predictions, please post the data in a different color ink (I did not realize that posting can look so colorfull, thanks to Steady) than the predictions. What this means is that if my above guess is right, you'd have the actual data through Nov 7 in a different color ink than the predictions from Nov 8 on... This way, as we compare your predictions from day to day, the changes you made might make more sense ...

Thank you always for providing such a great (free :)) service!

You are describing me to the highest degree - and that has been my style throughout the years. At this point perserving my Capital is the highest priority and this is the first time I have ever fallen below my goal (which I have obtained every year). Sometimes it is better to focus on the original goal - which for me was already obtained. I had money to blow and so I went aggressive - but now I personally can not afford further loss. One payday will take me over the top and every week I am guaranteed at least a small gain. 4 paydays without a loss is something I can be comfortable with.

Anyway, on the whole I completely agree with you and would tell everyone the same thing. When the year is comming to an end, however, do what is easiest - safest - and guaranteed - to more than meet your original goal.

get real people.....this AI neural system, ebb system,,rev etc just doesnt work....just pick an allocation you can live with and leave it at that....read some BOGLE...wise up and you ll be better off.. see how the neural man missed by a ton the last 2 days and ebb dropping like arock in the tracker... their luck and tahts what it is is running out...no one can predict the market....t6he index out performs 85% of active mgrs..so let it go and quit following some wild dream of bigger things ...it just dont work...pack your bags guru's..your time is up!

It's 4:30 am here and I am getting ready to go to PT when I read this. Actually it made me laugh. It good to point constructive criticism but to be cynical about it is just way off line. This is a message board and a medium to point out opinions. We make our decision based on our ability to take risk. If you feel that your system or if you want to follow the index based on a buy and hold then pls do post your move so others can see the difference. They can then make better decision and maybe help them along the way. Be cool and now let me go out there and do my road march....

Hello Precious, this has been an ongoing problem that has typically been encountered with high levels of frustration. We can either meet it head on with negative energy - or try to counter it with a labor of love and understanding. Please know (our dear friend) has received a heavy supply of verbal whippings and now that he's sinking - the distance he's created will make his uncomfort level even harder. I laughed as I read your message - because your feelings are so open and true - and as many before you - you were so compelled to give him a piece of your mind. Part of me also laughed at his message - because he is telling us to pick something (like the C and S Fund) and ride it out. Well there is no way I want to just leave my money in Funds that continue to plunge at 1% or better on a daily basis.

Anyway - thank you for making me laugh and it's nice to meet you.

It's a darn good thing I own the Holy Grail - or I'd be nervous. Been here and done that before - this to will pass. I actually added to my oceanic portfolio today and am expecting a DCA into my tugboat tomorrow. Bring'er on down to the undervaluation level. The Lone Ranger will come to the rescue of the dollar - you can bet on it/

Birch, you are one of the few who can afford to ride these events out and not bat an eye. With you there are no sleepless nights - anxiety naughing away in your stomach - blood pressure going out the ceiling like the rest of us. Over the years you have spread your wealth among excellent options and the TSP is just a piece of the pie. For me, and many others, the TSP is the pie - so we go crazy while you remain calm.

You are the dream I'm striving for. I've been building my liquidable assets to replace the vehicles (when needed), pay for the college educations, and take care of various expenses when the occasion arises - and am just now reaching the point where adding to that pile (which gets roughly 5%) is not needed. So in the near future I will start looking for my own Oceanic Funds - to build the wealth and hopefully shrink the TSP to just a piece of the pie.

I wanted to post a short reply!
During the 911 stock downfall, I lost 273.000 in just a few days. No, I did not regain the losses because of the annunity portions. However, I made my initial investment back which was 27.000. It took me 9 years to build the cash amount , "I was devestated to say the least". I built this account on Logging wages in Alaska, Today, I have started another process slow but, I hope that within a few years I will have a nice portion to last during my retirement. I have been researching Solar stocks and wow, They are out there and this ride if you search are exploding to say the least. So, if theres thoughts about todays stock market search out and find those stocks that are new (IPO) read about them and then get in on the action. Today, we need to look for alternate energy sources, Solar, wind power and Nuclear energys. Wind power belongs to the european marker as you will find in your reaearch. California has a good one called Sunpower, then there is Evergreen Solar. Check them out . First Solar has exploded as you will find if you reaearch. Check out what First stock was 2 months ago and today. Well, this is a small fortune.
Keep your thoughts about you and always remember the Market will correct itself, just be aware the correction will show signs before and in the signal you will also find a better buying position ahead.

First off - I pretty much know Virginia and West Virginia thoroughly so Welcome to the Message Board. We can immediately tell you will be a valuable asset to everyone!! Of course I have to wonder if your comment is to make me expose some giant hidden aspects of my life, and if it was you definately achieved your goal. Technology is what drives the future and nothing could even come close in terms of finding the guaranteed GOLD MINES for today's investments. Solar Power is most definately a worthy player and I hope you the most wonderful returns imaginable. But since Technology is the winning ticket at a minimum start a subscription to MIT's Technology Review. This monthly magazine shows you the most giant breakthroughs and startups as they happen. For the past 10 years I have always known the Technological Advancements that completely show what the next 10 to 20 years will be like and how all of us will live (cell phones, computers, energy, artificial intelligence, drugs of the future, ...) and I wait to see how long it will take before it's published for the everyday person. Grasshopper, use your Energy Findings as a clue to even greater things in the field of TECHNOLOGY and when you can take the pebble from my hand - then you are ready to go out on your own.

Privet!
And thank you for your information. I have heard of MIT trechnology Rev. I"ll give this a go. One never knows what he will find!!! I do enjoy reading the many posts here the information is valuable, and Yes, Master I am a learned student! HEHEHE!:D

In my experience I have not seen all the neurons be 100% in agreement. That indicates that they are still learning. The best you can get out of three days or out of three months (60 points of data) would be an average.

tspgo_com - Just curious - how well has your system been performing? Any stats on it?

RPM; Does it will help to post just one day ahead... future days seems to be confusing... since latest data may change future prognostic... do you think it will be not to post future prognostic till the day before till it settle ??? or we may just take them as the best AI prognotic base on the latest data subjet to change....
