With a likely FV, it looks like the I fund is going to outperform S today which means the EbbTracker WAS kinda right (old school style versus playing the hot handed S fund). I hope that FV doesn't hurt too much tomorrow.

Not to panic, folks! There's a silver lining in all of this. First the Nikkei just turned up positive. Second, the European markets between 11:30 to 12:00 EST finished -.50% below our market. So, I'm expecting them to open about half a percent higher on the get-go. :)
 
Saved about five cents or .20%. I-fund lost -.97% and the S-fund lost -.76%. Not that much of a difference.

Just like the ebbchart tally predicted and confirmed by Dr Faustus' double-pattern, the S-fund was the better choice than the I-fund. I got to pay more attention to the ebbchart tally from now on. :)
 
Bummer. That .2% cost me $300.00! Oh well! Not a huge sum of money in the big picture, but would have been nice to have been in there with you guys! Learned my lesson, to check the ebb page in the AM, not just the night before!

BTW, I want to thank you, EBBNFLOW, for the outstanding info that you provide for us!!! Keep up the good work, and just to let you know, I turned on another of my co workers today to your system, and TSP Talk in general.

European Factors -- Stocks seen higher, Bernanke, autoshow eyed

LONDON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - European shares looked set to open higher on Tuesday tracking stronger performances in Asian markets as oil prices rose to near a record high.

Market players may also focus on Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, who is to speak in Berlin at 1500 GMT.

Financial bookmakers, or spread betters, in London expected Britain's FTSE 100 (.FTSE: Quote, Profile, Research) index to open between 30 and 36 points higher, the German DAX (.GDAXI: Quote, Profile, Research) 46 to 50 points higher and the French CAC 40 (.FCHI: Quote, Profile, Research) up 35 points to 46 points.

That's about half a percent higher on the get-go! Let's hope it holds. :)

If you have a minute, I have a question for you.

On the charts at the bottom of most pages, it has the chart for EFA, which I believe tracks simular to the I fund. It shows it was down today .41%, but I see you said the I fund actually lost .97%. Why is that different? Sorry for asking dumb questions, but I'm just learning this stuff:)! I've read some of the stuff on here about FV, and maybe that has something to do with it?

Big Dave, I don't want to hem and haw my way to a good answer. I think I read a post by 350z or somebody else, but I can't seem to find it now. Let's wait for the right person to answer this question shall we. :)
 
Mike Causey posted some comments from his readers about the controversial fee for our interfund transfers. Yesterday, the ebbchart page got an extra couple of thousand hits (page impressions) and I don't know if this has something to do with it:

You may already be aware of it, but the site www.tsptalk.com guides the daily actions of many TSP investors to include myself. Each day, advice is given from various "experts" as to where to park your money for the following day. This advice is based on computer models and historical data. Some of this advice is free, and some is on the form of a pay service. I personally follow the EbbChart Trading system and it has made me quite a bit of money, and has insulated me from losses. I think that limiting the amount of transactions is a bad idea, and I venture to guess that many of the TSPTalk devotees will agree with me.
