Ebb, Congratulation on another good week...keep it up

If anyone needs congratulating -- it's you T2034! Great job. Are you following a trading system/method? If not, I hope you've been taking plenty of notes as to the whys and hows of your trades. You would want to be able to replicate your success for next year. Anyways, we'd be watching! :)

T2034, 19.71% YTD return.
Yes, I too would be interested to know if you are following a particular trading system or method. Outstanding results!

No, I don't have a trading system. Like most people here I do a lot of reading and based my IFT on econimic reports, news, historical data, charts and gut feeling. You are either in stocks or not, some days are a little easier to predict than other. Some days there is a feeling of uncertain, then I go with the gut feeling or a WAG ,depending on your risk level. There are lots of unknown, so that's where luck come into play.

Just made an IFT to the I-fund.

Wow, the I-fund is lagging the EFA so much. I see the I-fund with little or no change (probably up a cent) while the EFA has it up +.23 cents. I know EFA and the I-fund are not to be confused, but what a lag!

But don't the 2 eventually catch up with each other?

Ebb, is it possible to quantify the ups and downs of the I fund?
Have you ever tried to predict how much the I fund will go up or down?
I mean not only to predict if the I fund will move up or down but how much up or down. I know it will be risky to predict such numbers and I understand the hesitation to make such mistake but it would give at least an idea.
Today, I cross by a web that do so but I do not remember. It predicted
today the values of the funds for day after tomorrow.
F 11.15, C 17.45, S 20.27, I 25.65 but I do not know how accurate are those predictions. If it is not possible do to so, do not worry, just to know if it going to be up or down is good enough for me.

Ebb- I am sure you have addressed this before but, for today your 'system' was in the 'I' fund yet your chart showed STOP for I and green for C & S. Can you help this blind man see?

Thanks
Geaux

Ebb,

Surprised to see you go against your system for Monday. If the markets react favorably to today's econ data, it could be a dead cat bounce seeing as Monday's econ data all revolves around the consumer and how spending is going on Main St. If there's a hint of weakness, the credit fear mongers will be poking the bears again and we may test the lows. All speculation of course, just food for thought and good luck :)

For All Who Are In The I, S, Or C Funds...
There Is No Lost Till You Sell !!!
The Market Always Comeback !!!:)

I'm not really going against the system per se. The ebbchart pattern tally clearly shows that pattern 5 (weakest of the safe haven patterns) and pattern 7 (weakest of the stock patterns) are going to cost the system more in the future. The appearance of pattern 7 last Friday and it's subsequent loss of -2.35% led me to finally play pattern 5 (three reds) in a contrarian mode. I'm happy to at least take advantage of the latter play. :)

If there's no +FV at COB, I think I may have actually saved a couple of cents. Moving down over to the F-fund. Good luck all! :)

I totally forgot about the G-penny paying out on Monday. So instead of the F-fund that shows on the ebbchart, I'm moving to the G-fund to pick up the sure penny. Sorry about that.
