Once we find Ebb again we going to assign Him bodyguards so no one can kipnap Him again ! ! !:)

Ebb:

I'm confused. It looks to me like you have Pattern 8 for tomorrow R -G- R (no x-check), but you are recommending the I fund.

What am I missing?

Scott

I forgot to mention -- the ebbtracker has the green light for the F-fund on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. But I'll be on the I-fund for Monday and Tuesday. :)

Another good call on the I fund. I should have known better than to split part into the S. Back in the I tomorrow.

Ebb also called the F Fund for a green light...Good Job Ebb.:D

I'm a little new to this but I think the call on the F fund was a bigger hit if you break it down:

F FUND: 10K = 890 shares @ $11.24 / share
890 * $0.03 = $26.70 per 10K

I FUND: 10K = 393 shares @ $25.43 / share
393 * $0.04 = $15.72 per 10K

If my math is correct wasn't the F Fund the big winner of the day?
Or if I'm wrong explain to me what I'm missing....

Buda,

Your right on target. F fund was up 0.27% yesterday. I fund was up 0.16%. Due to the high valuation of the I fund, pennies don't amount to much in that fund. Only problem with the F is it goes up and down like a pogo stick and over the long run underperforms even the G fund. Sometimes, I wish TSP would just drop the F fund completely so I wouldn't be tempted to put my money in it and then kick myself the next day.

Ebb, I'm new to the board, been lurking around for a month or so. Started trading your system in late June. Great results.
I've been wondering if anyone is trading this system anywhere esle? I back tested your system against Rydex Europe fund ryeux with good results. The rydex Japan fund did not fare well. I also used eem, ewh and pid with good results. Although with etf's I could be off the mark a little one way or the other since I can't be sure to get the closing price.
Anyway, thank you for your time and effort.
Regards,
Mike

Grizzly, you do realize that you can't jump around daily in the Rydex funds don't you?

Yesterday the I-fund got lucky with the gain and now it looks like the C and S-fund are going to come away with the gains. I'm donning my rally cap...FV...FV...FV!!! Good luck all. :D

You're most welcome, Grizzly!

Mlk_man, I didn't know that. I guess the same thing goes with the Direxion funds that pays 2x to 2.5x our funds. Thanks for the info.

You are correct. This is why I now trade my TSP like my other accounts because my current system is built around trading them. Except of course when I get a signal change AFTER our cut-off time. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

Mlk Man, I have an IRA at Rydex and have traded RYEUX without any fees. But you did put some doubt in my head so I called Rydex and was told that they have 9 funds with redemption fees but RYEUX is not one of them. The nine funds are their hedged funds, sector rotation , core equity and commodities type funds. If you trade them at a discount broker maybe there are some fees. I don't know. But as of now it's ok at Rydex.

Ebb, I just checked the prospectus for the Direxion funds. There are no trading restrictions at this time.

Wasn't talking about fees. Was talking about the time it takes to settle an exchange. With Scottrade it takes 2 days. Since your account is directly with the fund company, they may let you trade everyday.

Didn't know that about Scottrade. I have an account with E-Trade and Ameritrade. I don't use mutual funds in those accounts but they probably have the same rule. Rydex does let you trade everyday.

I back tested dxelx. Using the signals since Feb 1 it's up 63%.

Predicting the F fund.

Actual Score %: .81 :D
Accuracy %:100 => 2 out of 2
In the Market:2 out of 17 days. From June 25, 2007 ... About (11% in Business days).

Fictional Score %: 3.35 :cheesy:
Accuracy %: 76.67 => 23 out of 30
In the Market: 32 out of 137 days. From Jan. 1, 2007 ... About (23% in Business days).

Some people can predict the G-Penny But I can predict the F fund.
I will tally my score here (Ebbnflow Thread) to see if My A.I.P. have broken the code for the F fund.

Fictional Score means a modified formula to get this result.
