i kept 50% in the I fund for tomorrow you think it will pay off? i moved some over to the S and just a little to the G also.

I was wondering about whether Japan was on somekind of Holiday tonight. They are showing closed they way it looks to me.

Even though the ebbchart has a red stop sign on the I-fund, the good pin action we had on the US market today could carry over to the European market. :)

It looks like Japan is taking a holiday today. Too bad for the I-hoppers, Nikkei should have been good tonight. :(

That's okay. If Barclay's think Japan will do good tomorrow night, they'll just add a positive FV. Crazy how they can just make those judgment calls.

You're welcome, USNAVYRETIRED! I just updated the ebbchart (got to wait for fabijo to upload it to his server) and the spinchart for Thursday, Friday and next Monday.

I guess that's it for me for the week. It's back to safe haven. :)

Ebb... I see the latest ebbtracker for the rest of the week and Monday. Looks like my nerves get to take a rest as it's back to the G fund for a couple days. Good call on the I fund yesterday, and hope the S fund can do as well today. Rots of Ruck !!!

I agree!!:)

Taking a break from all the action. The FED will decide today if we hold on to our gains this week or not. I had the green light for the F-fund, but decided to get the sure penny on the G-fund tomorrow. :)

Wise move! Take care.:)

Ebb,
We are doing quite well. Your excellent record gives me the confidence to stick with the ebbtracker. On the one hand, the ebbtracker is aggressive when called for; and, it seems programmed to capture when to be cautios, as if it knew that the markets don't move up or down in a straight line. It appears to be measuring its moves accordingly. Keep it up, many of us will be grateful!

Yep, we're doing pretty good. A 1.47% gain on the S-fund today would put the ebbtracker at over +5.20% for the month. So, I shouldn't hold it against the ebbtracker for taking a three day respite.

Without the new cross-checking function I wouldn't have been able to partake in the spoils today. I would have been on the sidelines looking in. The ebbchart showed the I-fund as red, but with the C and S-fund showing green, the system was able to jump to the S-fund. Like I've said before, as long as two of the three funds are in sync, everything's going to be fine. The x-checking function has been successful in five of seven times. :)

5.20% for the month. I think I would just take the rest of the month off. Unless we get one of Sugars "No Brainers"......:o

Ebb,
I'm a new guy but I've been reading for a few months.

I love your chart and have been following it. How is the chart created? You've been right so many times and I can't fathom how it looks out so far, so accurately. Also, when you say cross checking what is it checking against?

The system follows the ebbtracker's I-fund with cross-checking. A cross-check occurs when:

a) The ebbtracker's I-fund is green, but the C and S-fund are red. The I-fund is blocked from going to stocks because of two stop signs, so it goes to either G/F (safe haven).

b) The ebbtracker's I-fund is red, but the C and S-fund are green. Even though the I-fund is red, two greens from the C and S-fund lets the system jump to the S-fund (stocks).

So far it has worked in five of seven times it has occured. And I might add -- very profitably! :)

Here's a link to the ebbchart of Jan. 16 thru Feb. 28: http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/showthread.php?t=4010&page=5;post#60

Thanks MFDonn, and welcome to the board! I create the ebbchart using a spreadsheet, and I use a capture program to save it as an image. I've added the cross-checking function to the ebbtracker last January 16. During that time, I finished incorporating the C and S-fund into the ebbtracker and is now tracked along with the I-fund. X-checking basically checks the funds against each other for confirmation.

I'm also enthused by the system's potential for huge gains. Let me run these numbers to you for fun. If I followed the ebbchart correctly:

From Jan. 16 thru Jan. 31 (+2.66%)
From Feb. 01 thru Feb. 28 (+2.75%)
From Mar. 01 thru Mar. 21 (+5.36%)
-----------------------------------
...........................Total (+10.77%)
.....Whole Year Projection (+48.50%)

Hey, a guy's allowed to dream, right?

Ebb... W O W!!! 48.5% Wouldn't that be great???!!!!! I just wish I had the "cahones" to go 100% in the S or I Funds instead of only going 20 or 30% and leaving the rest safely in G. But I'm planning to retire under FERS this year and don't want to risk too much at once.... Thanks for the Ebbchart and keep on rockin'!!!! :toung:
