Fabijo, the last time you said that I knew you were just kidding, but I just saw your move in your thread, so I think you're serious this time. Well, good luck with your new strategy! :)

Sorry ebb. I couldn't bring myself to actually follow through. I changed my mind and went back to the monkey. There's no way to test my monkey unless I actually follow it all year. What kind of guinea pig would I be if I stopped my own blood? :)

Sponsor, it turns out the I-fund is going to get a few cents today (unless the market tanks completely). But you were right yesterday, the risk/aggravation/sleeplessness was not worth the price of admission. I want my money back! :D

True- and I have been following your moves.
But I'm the type of person that still stops to bend down to pick up a penny on a sidewalk.

Ebb,
It's sort of like a squeeze play, but I keep tabs on the tracker. I'll soon jump in again!

Even though it is now better than years ago... the four hour wait is archaic at best in the C,S,and F funds. Maybe a wait for the I fund is more fair for all participants.
Why not realtime?
Why not let us roll over some of our money to a roth, so we can trade both the up and down market? We can't roll-over until separations.
Can you imagine if they let us trade realtime, there would be a lot of millionaires retiring from federal service.
The market makes way to many martini lunch movements after the cutoff.
IMHO

Right now we're only able to trade the up market through our C, S, and I-fund. What if we have something that could let us trade the down market, like the DXSSX (-2.5x our C-fund), DXRSX (-2.5x our S-fund), and the DXDSX (-2.0x our I-fund)? We'd make a heck of a lot more money (or lose more), that's what! I'm all for the TSP governing body adding something like this as an option.

  you'd need your own laptop with a wireless card to do trading real time at work. I can just imagine the bandwidth being eaten up if you did that on a government computer (if it were ever allowed).:D :D

Yep, I hear people bringing their own wireless computer to work right now. If they do away with our noon deadline, offer us some more trading options, all hell will break loose!

I keep hearing we never had a 10% correction for the past four years. Last year, we didn't get it on our C-fund, but we did get it on our S and I-fund.

C-fund...May 05 (14.48)...June 13 (13.40). Down -7.46%.
S-fund...May 08 (18.27)...JUne 13 (16.10). Down -11.88%.
I-fund....May 09 (20.95)...June 13 (17.73). Down -15.37%.

At about the same time, my account went down -7.5% while using the ebbtracker's I-fund. But with the new cross-checking function added to the ebbtracker, I expect any loss I incur in the future to be substantially less. :)
