If it's too hard to view, here's the link: ebbchart011607.gif

I started tracking the C and S-fund late, but it looks like the cross-checking function is doing it's work. All the moves I've made so far using the new ebbtracker (started Jan. 16) are somewhere in my thread. :)

My C-fund picks are doing great (up 2.35%). I may have to think about playing the S&P e-mini futures. :D

Fedgolfer, Show-me, glad you liked it. Exercising a little bit of profit taking today, did IFT to G-fund. :)

FUTURESTRADER, I like how you think, but I have to get a practice account first and learn the ropes. :D

APYR, fedgolfer. Good start for the month (+.67%). With the new ebbtracker (cross-checking function incl.), I know I will miss some gains, but I will also sidestep a lot of potholes. My means of capital preservation will come from being invested in stocks only about 50% of the time. :)

You know your own stuff! That's your area of expertise. it makes a lot of sense for you to consider other indexes like the benchmark S&P 500 which is targeted to be beaten by most mutual fund managers. It's not like making all of Wall Strret millionaires, but only helping us here at TSP. Best wishes.

Sponsor, best wishes to you too! :)

Ebbnflow,

I only want to make retirement money out of the blue. But Have you noticed how the S fund keeps making higher profits than the I fund? Frankly, I really don't care to beat any of you good people here. I do want to increase my nest-egg in the shortest possible time frame. Please, do calibrate your ebbtracker constantly. If you do so, we will all make money, because I do believe you tracker is on to some positive precission points. Am I taking a follwer's position? I don't care. Repeat: I want to increase my nest eeg! AND, IF YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR WHATEVER REASON, THIS IS FINE WITH ME. What a coarse staement of facts. Isn' this? And, publicly! Go for it Ebb!.

Hello Fabijo!

I read your posts every time. They are good! Keep it up. In my case, I don't have the time to play games here (please, no offense to you). I will be age 65 real soon - and if you don't believe this will happen to you, you are out here! If you can develop your own tracker effectively, I would consider it as a viable alternative. Do your best to improve your tracker, but build on the reality of other people's track record, Now, I don't consider this website as unfriendly. To the contrary, if I have increased my nest-egg, (and I have!), this has occurred since I joined TSP talk.com (Thank you Tom Crowley). We are not a Wall Street crowd, but if you help us we will all have a surprisingly wealthy retirement! And, I don't think that making milllionaires of 60 constant readers, or members of TSP talk.com (my arbitrary, number), wiill make Wall Street Gurus less rich. Go for it, Fabijo:) !

Ebb! Very nice work! Keep it up. It'd be great to see how it does all year.

Ebb,

Great work. I didn't always agree with your moves last year, but I like the new ebbtracker a lot. Keep up the good work.

Ebbnflow... I'm relatively new to this board as I just started viewing it this year, but I've been in the TSP since the beginning. I'm somewhat confused about how to read or interpet your chart. I'm sure you've explained it somewhere, but would you please do it again for us "not so savy" investors?

Thanks... I went looking and had already found that. What about the C fund? Does your "ebbulator" have an indication when to move into it?

USNAVYRETIRED, as you can see, the ebbtracker already tracks the C-fund and tells me when it's good to be in by it's green color. In this case, the 16th, 17th, 19th, 24th, 29th, 30th and 31th. If you scroll it down all the way to the right side it will tell you that it picked up a total of +.37 cents or +2.35%. I can also tell that in twelve days it was right in 9 out of 12 days. I use the simple rules of cross-checking to give me the buy or sell signals. Two stop signs mean safe haven (G-fund) and two green signs mean stocks (I or S-fund). I'd rather go to the S-fund or I-fund than the C-fund just because it gives the best returns for now. :)

Ebb... Thank you! I understand now. I appreciate your patience with 'slow' people like myself that don't understand this stuff very well. All I know is that I see the returns that other people are getting and it makes me turn green. It seems like if I do an IFT, whatever I move into for that day takes a nose dive. Then when I move back to the G fund, the C,S,I funds all go up! Thanks again!!!!

I just read your public profile. You peobably know that there are many other members here that have given (or are giving) the best of their lives to our wonderful country! Thank you, Sir!!!:)

Yep, we certainly do want our nest egg padded! The only thing I could think of improving the ebbtracker's pick between the S and I-fund would be in the noon cutoff situation of the US market. If it's in the red, it might be better using the S-fund instead of the I-fund. I'm capturing the midday situation to try and see which move is better. :)
