DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

Hi, Haven't been posting as I don't have a lot to say. Market seems to be consolidating. Most visible on daily charts, except more visible for S fund by looking at Weekly chart. I want to exit but would like another positive day to get something out of my current trade. Could exit today, but noooooooo... will wait. Plus the nice rise this morning in S fund is now moving downward... like clockwork... just a bit before noon. will see if day closes positive. Waiting until Monday or so. I'll admit getting a bit jittery because of US (Tillerson & Mattis) meeting with China counselor yesterday.... Just want to avoid the unexpected.

Well, on to brighter subjects!

I'll be going on vacation for a couple weeks so I will likely exit next week before I go. Just going tubing on the Frio river near Conan and then up to Kansas for 10 days to visit a friend and see Queen with Adam Lambert in KC. I hope its good! Adam does sing Bohemian Rhapsody exceptionally well. Great tickets on floor.

Best wishes to Everyone on your Investments and I hope you have a Great Weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Well....today would have been a good day to exit. But did not make time to process IFT...was just very busy at work. Finally got untangled about 15 minutes after market closed. Ugghhh.... This is exactly what happened last Monday. So, goal: get up early and just DO IT! Gosh...:embarrest:

Okay...so now i am crossing my fingers hoping for an even or better day. Seems like its getting very frothy! Futures are up right now, about +19 Points on DOW. So thats a small positive...pleazzzzz hold!

Hope you all are having a Fun Summer! :24: Best wishes on your Investments!!!!!!!

I don't know. The market is trying to stay positive. It even looks like we might make a little money today. Of course the key word is little. :-)

I mostly exited but left 20% invested (15% in S and 5% in I fund). Momentum is still up for both of these funds but I am not very confident that it will go up a lot more... mainly because of Healthcare vote this week... if it happens. I could be completely wrong, but I am happy with more than 1% return this month. C fund just seems weak... MACD is sloped down while Stochastic seems anemic. S fund looks healthiest while I fund could go either way... Stochastic rising but MACD slightly down. May just let this ride into next month, or will contemplate full exit tomorrow.

Best Wishes to Everyone on Your Investments!!!!!!:smile:

P.S. Long vacation coming up... can hardly wait!!!! :D

Well... so much for that. Just off from work and seeing market. WTH happened.... yes I know... wrong day for an exit. :notrust: that's just sick. Oh well.... stand up, dust self off and look forward to next month. Ugghhh.... Still have 20%in, so guess it will just stay there for awhile.

Just so you know.... I will be doing that very shortly... starting Saturday. Floating a couple rivers (Sabinal and Frio) and definitely having some Dos Equis as we float!! Wooo ... hooo...... yes definitely at the same time!!! :D Plus kinda happy... I looked at TSP balance and it did not go as much as I thought.... so hum.... maybe TSP rates didn't drop even with the DWCPF and EFA and SPX???? I am not going to question it... just enjoying that it was not as bad as I thought.... today should make up for it.
you got the right idea annie, shake it off. another thing what helps me in those situations is stripping down to my underwear and floating a river. that and beer. preferably at the same time.

Okay... so I took out the remaining 20%. I am done with it... should recover some today. Yesterday was not as bad as I thought ... though not sure how... I looked at my TSP balance just a bit ago. I am happy!! Woo hooo... Water tubes, Sabinal and Frio rivers and beer and all... here I come!! :D
yeah...stupid noon obligation time!! I chose yesterday to jump to safety too..story of my life.
P.S. yes that noon time turn around is a kick in the ... xxxx..Smack down.

Hi. Not much time to checkout market due to trips. Back from Concan, Tx, late last night and now going on to KS. Going to visit friend and to see Queen in Kansas City, MI, tomorrow night. I'm going to try to look at last week's action sometime tonight.

But i must say... Wow... the trip is taking the wind out of my sails...I must be getting old. I was so stiff from the tube floating... hummm. Or could it be I was lifting my arm too frequently to drink beer or maybe just reaching and streching to grab another beer from floating cooler ??? Naaaaahh... couldn't be that!!! Lol... :)

Best wishes to everyone!!!! :) :)

Rock on, girl! Enjoy your vacation to the max! We may be older and need more time to recover, but us old party rockers still got it going on. Just take a vacation from your vacation...that's what sick days are for. Okolemaluna!

Hi KK! That's right... party on! Getting ready to drive from friends house out to KC for concert. Staying at Harrahs to get in a little gambling later tonight...or might hit a Karaoke bar located close by. Will see...

I did look at markets today... up and down action but still kinda even. Would have had to be very nimble to make money last week. Looks like market still generally trending sideways, except for Bonds. Yellin speaks Wednesday...to Congress? longer trend still looking up but short term the daily charts on equities have momentum moving down. I like buy in around 20 of Stochastic so will hold off for now. Will try to look at charts again on Wednesday.

Now on to that concert! Wooo hoo...

Best wishes to you and everyone!! :)

:smile: oh... and thanks KK for the video! Concert was great!!! I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance. Hoping everyone getting a chance to vacation this summer.

Wishing you and everyone the best!!!!!:smile:

Hi! Well got back on the 16th. Still not quite back to my usual routine. Been trying to look at market, but its so high. Almost jumped in on Monday... Would have been a nice little rise. Kinda surprised about todays drop right after noon. liz Camen on FBN said Tran dropped 3% and Tech stocks dropped too. Not sure what drove that. So... Still not seeing entry point.

Queen concert was Great! Very touching tribute to Freddie Mercury...actually got teary eyed ...twice. I had not expected that. Ill post more on that later... Got karaoke tomorrow and another short trip this weekend to San Antonio. Busy...busy...busy...i think i need another vacation! Lol.....

Best wishes to you all!!!!!:smile::smile:

So, was out to G for my vacation ending the 15th...looking for a reentry after losing about 3K in profits from being out. Was going back in today for sure but missed the noon deadline..so as usual, being out of the market is and has always been my biggest risk. maybe I can get back in Monday now...

Hi kb, I also thought to enter Monday but did not. I regret being out of market all of July...long vacation and just busy. Its been an awesome month for those in it! Thinking to enter I fund later this week, but will see...

Best wishes to everyone!!!!!! :smile::smile::smile:

Hi...shout out to KK. Here are some pics of the Queen concert. We were on 15th row and about 7 seats out from the cat walk ... just before end of cat walk. It was a great concert and like I said earlier brought tears to my eyes a few times. Brian May played a beautiful rendition of "Love of My Life" from end of catwalk. This pretty much captures what he did in Kansas City. The ending is awesome! This is a really special song!

Here is a link to one video I thought was fairly well shot. Watch to the end.:smile::smile:

A few pics.... bit blurry.
