DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

HI Maricar, Actually the video is from YouTube and I did not take it, but it is from this 2017 tour so you definitely can use it. There are lots of videos on YouTube including one from the July 9th concert that I attended in Kansas City, but that video was taken by someone high up in the 2nd balcony. I checked that video to see if we were visible but audience was too dark to the left of catwalk....nice video though. The one that I linked from YouTube was just great because it has a great front view with the Freddie Mercury ending.

Post 1902 picture is view from where I was sitting... about 7 seats from the catwalk and row 15 which was about 2/3rds of the way out to left side of the catwalk. Brian May sang and the whole band moved out to that section of the catwalk for 5-6 songs during the 2 hour concert. They did a lot on the catwalk. I could have walked right up to the side of catwalk but I was with a friend who wanted to stay put as we had a great view. I am wishing I had moved. I actually was behind him just a few rows back from where he sat to sing Love of My Life, but I had a good back/side view. Folks at very end of catwalk had a great seat for that performance.

Brian May is a great guitarist and he has a beautiful sweet voice. I loved how he had Freddie finish it off. He talked quite a bit about Freddie and the showing of him finishing the song on the big screen was a surprise. Brought tears to my eyes... just very emotional. I had not expected that. It was a great show. At one point, Brian took a selfie out from the end of the catwalk. Had lights turned on and had the entire audience in the selfie as he took video while turning 360 so he captured everyone in the arena. So cool! he spoke to audience quite a bit and just came across as such a kind and humble person.

I took lots of video and my friend streamed 5-6 songs live on Facebook. So lots of friends back home got to see it live. I have tried to upload my own video to this site but no luck with it loading. I guess I would need to get on YouTube and upload and then link it in. But I must admit most of the video I took was rarely the entire song. I really just wanted to enjoy and let it soak in.... lol!!

I understand they have been touring for a few years. I would definitely go to see them again. So glad I got to go. Adam Lambert did a great job and also showed a great deal of humility by acknowledging that he was definitely not Freddie Mercury but would do his best. He definitely did. He did not disappoint but ohhh... Freddie had a melodic voice mixed with a raw purity and ability to go so high.... just so unique. There will never be another Freddie Mercury! God rest his soul!

P.S. I just checked the link... I see it just shows video and not youtube. It was videoed on June 27. I tried copying it in with better link but it just is the same. So to find it, just go to youtube and search on Brian May Love of My Life June 27 2017

Oh wow... nice little drop. I had thought to get in today or tomorrow. Will wait to see what happens tomorrow. Been at work and have not heard news. So I guess this has to do with N. Korea??? If that's the case, this should be a very short term drop.
Considering entry for tomorrow (Friday) or Monday/Tuesday. BUT....Kinda would like to see if more downside is coming to avoid the falling knife. Uggh... been on that end too many times--- in August. :worried:

Best Wishes on your Investments!!!!!!!!!!

Gosh, I hate being late to a great party!! Missed the NOKO thing last week. But here I am....finally.... gingerly sneakin in! C30% / I-15% / S-5%. Hoping to get back to a more regular schedule and reviewing charts, etc.

Of course weakness is ahead. Hope it takes another week or so to arrive, and then will commit the other 50%. So hoping that NOKO crazy guy starts beating his chest again to get in on some of that paranoia. I noticed some of you all took great advantage of that last week with moving in... Congratulations!!!!! :notworthy:

Best wishes to everyone on your Investments!!!!!

DBA! Glad you're back, I've missed your thoughtful analysis and consideration of the markets! Its good to get out and have some fun too. :) Sounds like a good plan, maybe the weakness can hold off to a little later in the month? I can only move out at this point... =:-o

Thanks Whipsaw! Your so sweet! I have missed my regular schedule. Son is settled back at school so my days should be much more consistent.... woo hooo for that! Though I will miss him so very much.

I also had a dear friend of mine who passed away from cancer last week. He was very dear to me and his passing was very unexpected because it was so very early in the treatments. He was only 51 and was counting down the days towards retirement. Makes me realize once more just how important our friends are.... even those who we have not spoken to in a long time. I just kept thinking of the great times we had. We never know what day might be the last. I keep thinking of how important it is to stay connected and reach out every year if not more, to let those persons know how important they are and what a great impact they have had on our own life.

Welll.... as far as keeping up with financials. I have logged in and out each week but really not much time for analysis. I am going to re-do my charts. I have been using StockCharts but I noticed I like the simplicity of Big Charts and its free. So I am debating on whether I will continue to subscribe to StockCharts, or spend another month or so to see if I can create some historical charts that I can use for reference. I do enjoy looking back at chart patterns.

But I must admit that on the daily charts, it seems the more lines I have to play with, the more cross-eyed I get! lol :cheesy:

Looking forward to more interaction. Let's see how I do for the next week. ... Wishing you all a great day!!! :D

Just Awful!! So Sad to hear the terrible news from Barcelona today. :(

As for markets, I'm sure it affected markets today...to some extent. Noticed that US equities dropped much more than the I fund. That doesn't seem good for S and C fund. Wondering if more is going on. Will see if there is any recovery tomorrow.

Good evening!

Pretty much decided to exit S fund (5%) and C Fund (30%). Hoping for a little upside before Holiday, but not so sure that will happen. Will likely pull it Wednesday or Thursday. Still debating on I fund and F fund.

Best wishes to you all!!!!!!!

Yes. Decided to exit. Hoping good GDP numbers this morning bring market up a bit. Just heard Trump to talk tax cuts this afternoon...ughhh. Hope its good.

Best wishes to all!!!!!!!!! :smile::smile::smile:

Exiting to G fund. F fund looks tired. Seems indicators rolling over. S and
C look good but they are too high. I must wait for better entry point.

It seems that either Aug-Sept- Oct experience a good correction, but have really not seen that. Like I said indicators in S & C look good but ..... no telling and I think I will sit on the lilly pad for awhile.

Wishing everyone a Great Weekend and Best Wishes to you in your Investments!!!!!!!

Hi DBA. I was thinking the SPX top was 2525. It still could be. Watching S fund right now. Over 1457 a buy, otherwise I'm on hold until the dust settles.

Sort of ticked off at myself for holding 10% F fund in September. Lost a few sheckles. Should have gone 100% G. I was expecting the pullback to begin in mid-September. It did - FOR BONDS.;swear:laugh:

FS

Well... I was in F fund as well. Keep waiting for a hammer to fall that will not. Weird thing is that at the start of Summer I had a feeling market might just keep going up. GDP is now above 3% for a quarter, and earnings are up. Obviously lots of "political" problems but so far the market is seeing an upside that I have just failed to see it.

Of course if I get optimistic and jump in, surely the market will drop... just for me!! lol...

Maybe this year will be different. Who knows.....

Best Wishes to you all!!!!!!!!!

Hello! Finally posting new charts. These are just 1 month and 3 month daily charts. I have added in a few extra EMAs and MACD setting that I am starting to study.
The EMAs of 13 and 48.5 were added because I saw an article with back testing that showed this was one of the best combinations for long term entry/exits.

Going to the 3 month S Fund chart in my last post, or picture below. What I like about the latest MACD setting (3,39,3) is that the crossover from negative to positive happens a little earlier (8/22) than the default MACD setting (12,26) (crosses ~8/29) followed by PMO (~8/30). But on the backend for possible exit, the 3,39,3 setting looks like it could get you out too early, or at least in this particular case because you can clearly see that MACD default and PMO clearly are in positive territory. So maybe just need to keep looking at all indicators to confirm. Have not performed back testing, but I am going to study it.

But wow... look at that embedded reading in the Full Stochastic... S fund flying high and not seeing any wavering on that Stochastic.
