DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

I love Annie!!!!! :D. Heard this the other day and spent a little time tonight just listening to the beauty of her magnificent voice! This is my favorite by Annie Lennox.....Why.

Yes, Annie Lenox has a fantastic voice. I remember the first video I saw of the Eurythmics, she gets out of a limo in a long red dress with long flowing blond hair, a real bombshell; then BAM, off comes the hair and under the dress a punk outfit emerges - complete ocular shock! I'll have to look up which tune it was...

Hi Whipsaw-- Oh... I think she is quite beautiful too. You know I saw her give an interview many years ago and she was very down on her looks and making comments about her face--nose, mouth, etc. She is very unique and striking...eyes, cheekbones and style...well she is just beautiful. I learned that she is a huge but quiet humanitarian helping with children's causes throughout the world. Quite an extraordinary person---and that VOICE! Wow... what a talent. I've never seen her perform and would very much like to. I think she is now about 61 years old or so.

Now I want to go look for that video.... sounds great!! I don't recall seeing that last night, but then again I was mainly listening to every version and performance of "Why". I also listened to a compilation of short video clips of her greatest hits, but didn't recall seeing the red dress video.

oh yes... and I am not exiting today. Again, fairly conservative with only 60% in equities and so I will wait another day to see if we get a little bounce. Its looking like it could be going much further. If its not up tomorrow, morning I may need to pull the plug. Hoping that is not the case, BUT... if that's what it is, then that's what it is. I will not ride the coaster to the bottom.

Best Wishes to you and everyone on your investments!!!!!!
(Looking forward to a nice weekend in San Antonio!)

I decided to exit. Wanted to wait for up day to exit my entry last Wednesday. Hope to enter next month, mid month after the seemingly seasonal start of June lows.
Believe I will recover any loss from Thurs/Friday as entry on Wednesday was at a low price point. I kept 40% in F fund.

Best wishes to you all in your Investments!!!!!!!

Love the sound of this band! Enjoying the start of this weekend with a little Tequila Sunrise....the sound is lazy laid-back. Perfect!!! :05:
Hope you have a great weekend!!!!!

Here are 6-month charts with the settings I now use. Actually have been using these for sometime.

These are set to 10, 20, 50 Exponential Moving Average (EMA), with Bollinger Bands, Slow Stochastic and MACD (all default settings).

No IFTs left at this point, but I wouldn't be getting in anyway. The 10-day EMA has crossed below 20-day EMA as of more than a week ago and the 10-day EMA looks like its close to going below the 50-day EMA with a few more down days. The 50 EMA on SPX has no slope (going sideways) while SS is starting to move upwards from the 20 EMA it hit last week--usually I would be carefully considering an entry once it goes down that much and it is moving up. But BB slopes are down and the EMAs are not exactly what I want to see for an entry, so at this point, its still high risk as far as I am concerned. But time will tell. Looking for the several positives: 10 EMA above 20. MACD positive and above its signal line or at least sloped up. Slow Stochastics hit 20 or below recently and now on the way up. Upward sloping Bollinger bands.

Even F Fund not looking healthy but still better looking than equities. I may need to exit it very soon too as its starting to nickle and dime me and those dimes add up. Will see.

Hope you are having a great weekend! Best wishes to you all on your investments this coming week!!!!!!!!

Well...just looking at chart links a bit ago. Not much has changed except that I fund's 10-day EMA has crossed below 50-day EMA. So, It seems the most challenged at this point. Giving F fund about one more day.

The S and C fund Slow Stochastics are rising, but Bollingers still sloped down. 10-day EMA below 20-day EMA, but looks like a couple good days could get me more interested in an entry. MACD is neutral as I see it. Will see how it goes.

Wishing you a very Good Evening and Best wishes to you all in your investments!!!!!!!

HI DBA: Just hope the market decides to pullback to 1960 this week before the next wave up. Of course that could be a problem.....me assuming that there is another wave up right after this wave down...:D:D:D

BTW: Nice charts you posted yesterday. They definitely give a nice survey of the market landscape.

All the best DBA!

Thanks for the very nice compliment FS! You are so kind.

Those charts are looking much nicer now. The Slow Sto going up, price action way up and the 10-daily EMA is now crossing above the 20EMA. This could be start of a very nice little rally!! Next two days will tell for sure. For those few who just got in yesterday or today, you might have just gotten in at the very bottom of the start of a good rally. Now to see how long it stays up there ... even if a little pull back tomorrow, this looks like it could go further. Time will tell. If MACD crosses positive by COB today or tomorrow, its a definite buy.

Too bad I am out of IFTs this month---I feel like I was bad and was put in timeout! :( Oh well..... I will just sit on my hands but that is okay. I am going out of town Thursday for a little R&R up in the middle of nowhere and not back until mid next week so...then we will be into June and my IFTs refreshed. So I will need to wait for the next BIG WAVE! Have I ever told you that I love Boogie Boarding!! lol

Best wishes to you and everyone on your Investments!!!!!!!!

yes my friend, you are definitely spot on! If I had not messed up earlier in month with that bad buy I would have that one available to use now. So I just need to be much more careful.... uggh... but will just look forward and try to do better. But Hey----I am soooo very glad you were able to get in today. Hope its a killer wave up. Looks good and hoping it lands way up by weeks end for you and everyone that have gotten in!!! :D
The IFT limit and the Noon cut-off are equally bad, in their own special ways. :-/

You are very gracious DBA!!! I must admit I have found myself cheering for drops in the C & S when I was locked out with no IFTs.

Well what goes up eventually comes down so there will be other buying opportunities Scout! Just a matter of time, but until then let's see how our friends fare. Thank for the nice compliment.

I am still sitting 40% in F fund. I guess I will stay for now... waiting to see if the Slow Stochastic upward push will materialize into a very small gain for the month. Can't do much else at this point... will see. Still thinking to exit it though.

Best Wishes to you and everyone on your Investments!!!!!!!!!

I'll definitely be watching the next few days with great interest. With the second day of great upward action, the Slow Stochastic is getting close to hitting over bought....BUT MACD is just now crossing its signal line going positive. Plus the 10-day EMA has crossed back above the 20-day EMA. Bollinger bands still not sloped up but is somewhat constricted and price hitting upper band. So does it bounce off the band a lot or a little, and then does it continue moving up in the coming week??? I think its very possible but we will see.... its always a risk. Not a bad idea to pull some off the table. Heck the earnings for past two days are awesome!!!

Best wishes to you all on your investments!!!!!!!!!

P.S....just checked...Link to futures.... it's a bit down now, but not a lot.

Hello... Well, sadly I am back from vacation!! :( But glad to be back on line with you fine folks  and checking out the markets today. I looked at charts early this morning and while I still think I could make a case to enter, I decided I will wait until tomorrow to see reaction on the jobs report. Humm..... will see what happens on that and on any entry at this time. Gotta look more closely to see when it hit (but signal)... I believe it was either Tuesday or last Friday.

Hope you all are having a Good Evening!! Best Wishes to you on your Investments!!!!!!

Did you have fun in Kansas, Dorthy? None of those twisters took you on a ride to OZ?! That was some scary weather they were having a few weeks ago. I hope you had fun.

I just returned this week from Vegas and SoCal. Vegas was so much fun; I haven't been there in 5 years. I stayed at the MGM Grand and had a great view of the Vegas Strip. I even won $500 on Wheel of Fortune... HA! I never gamble, but it payed off this time. My friends and I spent too much time at the Irish Pub "Nine Fine Irishmen" at NY NY and drank too many Jameson's, but we had a fine time singing and dancing with the Irish band. That place was fun...and packed. We mostly just hung around the pool area floating along the Lazy River during the day...drinking ( I swear I drank more in those 4 days than I do in a year). My friends sure like their cocktails. I spent the other week and a half visiting friends and family from Valencia to San Diego. UGH!!! I never want to go back to CA. The traffic was horrendous!!!

Maybe next year we'll have to try some karaoke ....

Aloha
