I'm so glad I was online late this afternoon.....I got the message as I stared into my crystal.

The market will go up ...or it will go down! Lol.... :rolleyes:

Okay ...all kidding aside..unfortunately, I did not pull the trigger earler. :( But looks like good news for those in the I fund... I believe Greece is set to get its bailout. Humm....Monday might be really good! ... probably for all equities!!

Congrats on not being in this week. I never saw the Yuan devaluation coming. I remember the Chinese saying they were reviewing policies internally to bolster their market a few weeks ago. I think everyone expected them to keep their mess in their own backyard. I agree with you that there is still a possibility that the market may shoot up but given that we are in a rounded top I've decided to play it conservatively thru the end of September.

FS, Lots of people were surprised by the devaluation...but I was leary of the stuff going on in the Chinese market, but never saw the deval coming.

Now That'a a beautiful crystal ball!!!! I really love that!! I bet it really looks pretty as the flakes flutter down! I have a couple but not as pretty as that one. Mine are movie and opera themed. I may need to shop for one in a few months.

I'll be spending a little time this weekend looking at charts again. Will probably continue to watch what happens....ohhhhhh....mmmmaaaahggggiiiicc ball... whatsup???? :trink26:... Best wishes to you too!! :smile:
 
DBA, The one thing I miss about living on the mainland is going to concerts and clubs to see my favorite performers. :17:

Aloha KK!! I wish I could go to more concerts. Earlier this year I saw Fleetwood Mac. They were great. Now Lindsey Buckingham blew me away!!!

I'm going to see Madonna in October in Vegas. Really looking forward to that. Have great seats in the first risers about 1/3 of the way back from the main stage but she has a runway that goes back more than half the floor. Don't like her politics but I've always loved her music!! I've never seen her. You know I'm Gonna be shaking my stuff that night...foooorrrrrr sure!

Humm... But Hawaii gets good concerts too! You went to see Janet Jackson..right?? Bet that was great! I think she is doing couple concerts in Texas but I likely will not go. think its too late to get good seats without paying an arm and leg...although the Madonna seats were costly to say the least. I broke my piggy out on that one!

I want to see Madonna !!!! You are so lucky!! I don't see JJ until November and her show is on Oahu, not on my island. Some big name artists come to Hawaii, but they only play on Oahu where the population and venue size can justify the expense of performing. Between concert prices, airfare, hotel...it gets pretty pricey to attend.

Vegas is a good spot to see artists and a good middle ground for me to meet up with friends and family .... I never thought about that option. Hmmmm....wheels are turning. I can drop off my mom in LA and drive out to Vegas. Yeah, that's the ticket! Thanks for that idea!

Have a great time at the concert and shake it like a Polaroid picture! :banana:
 
With all the rock and pop videos posted this weekend, I'm thinking i must post some country. I really love Faith Hill. Vocals are awesome and this one has a beautiful message and its a really beautiful song. Hope you Enjoy it!!!!!!! :smile:

 
She is one of my favorite female country singers also. I like this song, although I'm not sure if comes under the country genre, it does have that country breaking my heart feeling. :smile:

ok...just brought this into my thread from Whipsaw's .... gotta keep it handy!
 
Daily SPX chart -1year.

In this chart, I set the daily EMAs using 5 day, 8 day and 18 day because the market is whipsawing so much lately. I notice the longer uptrends last year, but also like that the 5/8 day cross over gives good indication of very short-term down trends. Very interesting how all 3 EMA lines are converged now. Still think market is too risky. Waiting for a breakout above 18 day EMA.

Here s the Week SPX (C fund) chart 2- years. Looks like further down turn. MACD and Slow Stochastic below signal lines and the EMAs are converged.
