Dr Faustus's Account Talk

Ok, Obama's talk of more regulation, the AIG mess and now this indication that GM and Chrysler need 'considerably' more that 21B has me scared shiftless ... so I'm back to G at COB Monday (3/23). Only wish I had done it on Friday as I think the market is gonna plunge on Monday.

Well, thought I was going to take a bath yesterday but it turned out to be a treasure bath! (History of the World, Part 1) Put me into positive territory for the year ...

you and your ilk make me sick (tongue in cheek)....."I wish i would have moved friday but oh look the market went up another 5% how fortunate for me"...I have yet to make a correct move in this stupid market!!!.......really though, congrats to you and your ilk.

Since I'm in the G fund and I can't get out .... stupid IFT limits ... I'm gonna go ahead and post my March results

Mar 09 : +4.74%
YTD 09 : +1.47%

Dr. Faustus,

Noticed your location, Tucson. Greatest place on earth.... ( :
Grew up there, currently living in Guam, moving to TX soon.

Nice going with the "treasure bath".

Long live GM, Government Motors!

It aint West Virginia, but it ain't bad! :) Seriously, I like the desert Southwest, but anyplace with some decent mountains is a home for me. Am dying to go up to the Northwest sometime, perhaps even Alaska. I'm sure pictures on the television do it little justice.

In 2007 the wife and I did a 14 day land/cruise package with Princess Cruise Lines. Met a friend in Fairbanks. We absolutely loved it.

Yea, Alaska is OK, I guess.;)

Oklahoma is OK..........Siberia, I mean Alaska is not fit for humans :cheesy:

My wife is begging to move to Ak. For that type of country I prefer Maine!

Dr. Faustus,
My dad is from a small Ohio town accross the river but close to Huntington. I have played some golf in that area on both sides of the river.

Very fun driving over those WV mountains!

I am planning to visit Hawaii on my way back from Guam........finally accomplishing my goal of seeing all 50 states. :)

No place like western WA. Drive to work and see Mount Rainier, wonderful view of the Olympics on the way home. If it don't have mountains, I don't want to live there!!:nuts:

He sounds like a real estate agent, doesn't he? If it don't have mountains, I don't want to live there!!:nuts: Me neither!!!!:D

Kidding, JB. There's much more to the PNW than western Washington, DrF, if you do come up, be sure to check out both sides!

Agreed, you walk aimlessly in the woods on the east side. You can break brush and get your exercise walking on the west. All the rain makes it really thick. The important point is the mountains and I do get to see them more than the easters think!! Ssshhhh it's a secret.

I have family there, lived there for a while. Dad was born in St Albans. Haven't been to St Albans in a while, I hear it's really changed from when I was there.

Have been to the New River Gorge once or twice though I've never actually driven across the bridge. Saw it being built though.

Well gosh ... I am aching to get in here, should have never gotten out before. But I think I am going to wait until Friday to decide what to do. After today's run-up, I have a feeling that there is going to be some profit taking on Friday and ... well, we'll wait and see what the data coming in on Friday does to the market.

I *so* want to stick in a toe though!

I hear ya!

I was too eager to get out, and did. I don't want to compound that mistake by being too eager to get back in.

Oh yeah, I had family there also, they owned the Alley Funeral home. I spent alot of time at the New River Gorge Bridge, since I went to Engineering school at WVIT in Montgomery, while it was under construction. Been to bridge day a couple of times for the Base jumpers.

I know the feeling wanting to get into the market, but I'm waiting for some sort of pullback.

Good Luck,
CB

I have decided to reduce my market exposure. Went to 40%G 25%C 25%S 10%I cob today. Will give the reason later (am going to be late for a meeting) ... but the curves indicate that the rally is leveling off ... could be we are approaching a point of inflection (the market will go higher) .. or we could be approaching a local max (the market will go lower). Since I don't know which way the market will go, I decided to pull out a bit.
