crws's Account Talk

Hey thanks for posting the VA benefits, im gonna forward this info to the wife's family as her Grandmother may qualify.

Glad to. Every bit helps, especially for those on fixed incomes and no COLA for 2 years.
I'd be interested to know how it worked out.

Wow, sad news...died of liver failure. Seventeen years ago I pulled out my Baker Street LP and played that song to my then girlfriend, then told her the words were just how I felt about her.... then got down on a knee and asked her to marry me, so that song has a lot of meaning for us.

Thanks Gerry.

A Reservist in a New War, Against Foreclosure

100% L2050, COB 1/31

Good thing I had a little G as contribution, will take the edge off today...
Cheers!

Well, after much deliberation over the aforementioned L2050 fund, I have decided to let it roll.
Both the S&P and the EFA (I-Fund tracker) have significant headroom above the S Fund, and as you that are knee-deep in snow these days know, breaking new ground requires substantially more effort than retracing your previous path.

Thus, I am more than 85% in agreement with the initial structure of the L2050, and it mirrors my waning stimulus/recovery period philosophy that after the initial pop, the big caps step up in sustained fashion.

Maintaining L2050 100% COB.

Sorry to hear that, crws. hope there will be a safe spot for you to land among those reserved positions. 100 miles radius? fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear that, my friend! I don't know how USPS does things. does this mean a transfer for all the employees, or a RIF or a buy-out or what?

That's the pits!
Maggie

PS: Ah, see, Allie reads more thoroughly than I do.

I guess a freeze for a 200 mi radius, then transfers are offered.
Not sure about the RIF.

We led the country in many aspects of downtime and mail production quality including 3 years back to back #1 in productivity nationwide...
The postal way...

Well, at least it's good to actually know, now.
I guess the first radius is 100 mi, then 200, then 500.
We are already listed as priority transferees on our internal reassignment site.

Sorry to learn that your facility is closing, forcing your transfer.
I work as a rural carrier out of Montpelier, VT. and enjoy my work a lot.
