Cowboys Account Account Talk

Heeehehe! Cowboy let him buck today and it seems the pen wasn't very big as the score sure was small. A whoopin .03 cents for a .002 gain. CIclops sure has been draggin and bringing up the rear! I do like yesterday though! Sorry, I haven't been on too much as I been a busy but hopefully will get back into the swing of things. Well now that Cowboy has pulled out of I fund it can go racin up I suppose and leave him a sittin on the fence. The risk of going G is the market leaves you behind sometimes than you have to suck it up, like a carp in a mud hole! :DHeres a little cowboy humor for ya!

I met a city gent the other day. I asked him,"What ya a doin wanderin out in the country side." He says, "I 'm alookin for a house. " I says to him,"Check the local realitor but didn't you like the city life." "It isn't that I don't like the city." explained the gent. "I just wish they collected the garbage as often as they collect my taxes."

I am going 50% G & 50% I as of COB today! I am only doing this for one reason and that is Tuesdays have been big bears of late to me. I just don't want to pull out entirely as the I fund may make a wierd move up after what happened on Friday. Take care!

imported post

I will be 100% G as of COB today! Will hope for a pull back to jumb back in again. Going to rope some gains hopefully! I am selling the short Greenspan rally which may last today. May head to GAWGA on a roust-about and get a little rowdy and check out those apples. :D

Cowboy takes a plunge dives into I fund up over 75% percent of his lifes miserable rubbles. When asked why?? Cowboy responded,"Cause no one else wants to." He bought 25% F cause it looked like F may drop a cent or two. When asked why he didn't buy any S & C funds? "Well I guess it is to easy to make money and cowboy likes a challenge and I fund is damn challenging right now." "Hey cowboy you got any ettiquette to share with TSP regulators and us." "Ya I do."

If you make

clean it up.

Smile, it won't hurt your dentures and your significant other might respond favorably!:D

Howdy folks sounds like things are getting a bit serious on the old threads. I like the survey Tom! Cowboy is setting I fund with a twist of F fund. I been busy as of late and will try to post more as I move around the funds and lose all my money as the pros at TSP say I am doing. I guess it's my money so I get to do what I want and if I want to spend it I will. :DOn a lighter note the other day we had a young gent show up at the ranch and we asked him,"What ya want son!" He said, "I want to be a cowboy!" Well we kind of took pity on him and decided to give him a try meaning he was all eager and such. "This," I said showing him a rope, "is a lariat." We use it to catch cows and or the calves. "I see," said the boy, trying to seem knowledgeable as he examined it. "And what do you use for bait?"

Maybe we could use a little cowboy etiquette, again. How about this one!

Cowboy may ride tomorrow just for the heck of it. If he does he will just move as he is going to be on the road tomorrow!

Cowboy is going to try a little trick riding again and go 100% full out on CIclops! Let him buck to the sky! YEeeHaw!! Let him turn on a nickel and give me change!!! Have a good weekend everyone! See ya on Monday. Will be 100% F at the start of the new week.

Mornin! Now that I have took those little I fund doggies to market a guy has to decide what his next move is with the cash in his pocket. A continuing problem as cowboys like to spend money on a lot of fun stuff but which fund is going to be fun? Cowboy rode Cyclops for a very good gain, enough so you would have had to have your G fund since November 8th 2004to make that kind of money. Not a bad day in my opinion. I fund is hard to read and you risk dearly playing it. If you play with the cowboy there is no strategy as cowboys don't like rules and such. YOU CAN LOSE BIG CASH or gain some too! Cowboys just take what life gives them and go on about their merry way. How you manage your money is the mostvaluable ingredient to success and you are the only one that can do it.I hopeeveryone's week goes well!

Can you believe it Cowboy sells I fundone day buys it back the next. Will it work out know one knows, as no one is making money in the I fund. According to some on the board. It is the worse place to be. Cowboy talks to himself alot lately going bananna's as he rides home from the market. "I should of been S as everyone knows but never cry over spilt milk. "

How about some cowboy etiquette to live by, partners.

Evenin folks! I feel like I just robbed a stagecoach.:lIt is lonely riding out here with no one in the arena and I know everyone is happy they have made a buck or two but I do believe I fund is moving and it seems to be up! Not saying that it won't go down tomorrow though. I don't talk much about my strategy and I do read some posts once in awhile but talk is just what it is. Talk is cheap, it takes money to buy whiskey and there comes a time in ones life when you have to risk it. Since Iam now officially a outlaw after today.:lI want to quote a famous robber by the name of Black Bart. He made a living robbing stagecoaches in the 1870's and he claimed to have robbed 27 of them. He left poems after his successful ventures. I believe California is where he played his game. Here is one of his poems;

"I've labored hard long and hard for bread

for honor and for riches

But on my corns too long you've tread

You fine haired Sons of Bitches."

Check your charts guys maybe we can start a gang.:lWe'll make the Daltons proud when we steal the big shots blind. Just remember the code of the outlaw, when hell breaks loose, its everyone for himself. LOL!!!!:l

Evening everyone! The cowboy is riding on in the I fund. I was expecting a drop today some in the I fund but it diid not occur even though it was red all day. I could have made a move yesterday but if the fund your in is trending up especially the I fund you risk a lot getting out and trying to jump in as I did last Friday and Monday. I know there is few playing right now with good reason but risk is what makes you the cash. If you think about it the I fundis actually a very good buy in my opinion at the moment. Well since I been a talkin to myself most of the time, I thnk I may walk down to the local pub and have m a glass or two of Stagger Soup. Heres some words to live by if ya can. :^

Cowboy,

If our friend DMA were still playing with the I fund you would probably hear him shouting from the next county over with the results that were posted today. Yes you were correct the fund closed considerably below the previous open. But still managed to pay a copper. What happens tomorrow if it closes higher? Funny beast that you are riding. I see where Sweden and Hungary have already reduced their interest rates. The Bank of England is thinking about doing it also.

Getting to close FOMC time.

That is the I fund garlic.

If their interest rates are being lower then our treasuries look EVEN MORE appetizing.

That is why the 10 year is moving and I am in F fund.

See the news and use it. Chevy Chase - be the ball.

:)IMHO.

What happens tomorrow if it closes higher? Well Birchy it depends alot on how high it goes if it does. My thought is .15 is nothing with the I fund. But if it does go up and gains a nice percentage than I will sell off and try to buy back again. If it is on a slower track I may ride it awhile. My opinion on news is it is usually second hand by the time I receive it, therefor I put little stock into it. I'll watch the news and feel how the market responds to it and if it seems to effect it more I will move with it but mostly it is only one day in time. Currently the news is not effecting the markets all that much at this time and the cruise seems to be on. If you look back I have stated that S fund in my feeling has been leading the US Funds this is held true in my opinion. The C fund has been following it like a pup. Interest rates may be going higher but small businesses have already locked in the lower rates for a few years anyway, so little effect for the time being. Large companies is a different story as they borrow much more and more often.

USD is ramping. Would not be surprise it to break .89 again soon.

I would not bet against the USD especially with the talk of Euroland cutting rates.

That will drive money into our treasuries.

Good luck Cowboy. I am routing for ya.

:)

There is two sides toevery coin, DMA. My thinking is this, the C & S funds are high right now at the top of their trend if you look at tekno's graph if they do not break out than they are headed down this is the reason everyone is setting G. I fund has lagged behind and even though the $ has an adverse effect on it when it trends up the fund itself offsets this and it will show red but not go down then boom the $ spikes down and the I fund stays on it's trend causing it to shoot up. This is the down week for stocks if the funds hold this week as it looks like they all may, next week they will all go up again and I fundsince it is behind will gain more as the others set fighting resistance. I was setting in the S fund back in May and thought I would be smart and pull out and wait for weakness it didn't happen and then I noticed Ifund setting there just freaking out, once it gets it's timing back together it should perform well.

I fund has lagged due to USD strength.

USD will get stronger next week due to FOMC rate hike.

IMHO.

I wish you well.

:)

What day is the FOMC meeting? Currently I am doing well for the year and so far I am beating all funds with a 3.35% return this can change in a nano second with me. I fund was below last year but is catching up now and I feel it will continue. The $ fluctuates like any other fund and has it's up and down days. If you buy on news it is usually a day late and a $ short. What does the FOMC have that is going to scare everyone that I need to know?I have sat though Greenspan when everyone chirps about that and actually made out pretty good on the worry. The F fund which you are in took it's leap already now it will take .03 to .05 of it back prior to paying again as a rule. I was in F fund, lately it has paid good but the fund is going up when I fund moves some also and hasn't paid as much. Once you are out of the market you have to buy back and G & F have hurt more than helped.

I expect the I fundto go up, the coming FOMC will have no effect until Thursday and then it may be favorable instead of a burden. What makes you think that the FOMC is going to cause a negative reaction to the I fund? Right now you are in the F fund which is trending up but my past experience is that it will jump .05 to .07 than nibble away at your profit for a few days and then maybe give back .02 or so. It usually doesn't go up that quickly. I do not put much stock into news as it is usually second hand by the time I see it. I do play it when it looks like the funds are flirting with it also.
