Hi everyone! I made a move yesterday to 10% C, 80S, 10I. I could not get the TSP Talk website to work for me yesterday! I reset cookies this morning and it is still running slow but I did get on. I made this move when I seen the funds down yesterday just playing the short term. This will throw the trackers off as my post is afterthe fact. I tried to get the site to work from when I made the move at 10:45 to the end of the day. This is the first time I have had any trouble with the site not working. It seemed the site took forever to load, I did get on early yesterday in the morning and read Sharks andTom's postsand some others. I never did get logged in. I am very happy with my returns this year and enjoy the input put in by the faithfull. Have aMerry Christmas everyone and remember it is not what happens short term that matters it is the long term goal that will make u the money. The best thingyou can do is to save for your retirement!

If one has trouble getting into TSPtalk, they can e-mail myself or Tom with their move. I have done this before and so have a couple of other people.

I have had trouble with TSPTalk as I could never get it to load the last week. I have not been able to get on the last several days. It seems to be working fine today. I am currently 40 C, & 60 I, for those that want to know. This will throw the trackers off some but the main thing is I was able to continue my trading through the week. I am hoping for a good day today and I might just pull some off the table as the 2nd week in Dec. is usually a downer. Monday will be quite and hopefully a buy day and possibly the whole week. Remember my guess is as good as yours! The only way u gain is to play. Cowboy plays for the future how about you?:D

I am going 100% S today! This will be just a short term play as usual if nothing else I cost shared into the S for more shares. Have a Happy New Year!

I am going 100% I fund today. Reason is the US markets will be closed Monday and we won't be able to make a move so I expect the markets will possibly be up on Tuesday and just think the best option will be I as it's trend is still up. I been playing I all December and with this move I think I can gain back my shares. If not I still did well in 2005!!! RISK=REWARD.

Lemonade!!!

"Hi Cowboy what you making?" "Lemonade!" "Oh! Where did you get the lemons at!" "I purchased them at some place called the stockmarket on Thursday." "Come back later when it is cooled this afternoon. We'll see if it is any good." LOL!!!!

Yes, purely it was! I view the market as a breathing animal and you have to watch it closely to get a feel for it. For example; Deer hunting you try to pick a spot where the deer runs and try to ambush it. This is basically all I did. I also theorize that short term players do not play fair, so basically by watching the market I got a feel they would make a move when the common stock buyer could not. I also want you to know that everyday it starts over again, today by pulling I could be the scape goat. I will surely enjoy that 3.29% gain in one day though!!!! Buying into S looked to be a bad move last week but then I just turned around bought I fund back as it lost twice as much and capitalized on the move. You avoid risk with diversification but also lose reward by playing so. By the way I had a 13.07% return through last year and I feel very good about it! I just made 25% of my return last year in one day and there is a long way to go yet this year but I have a very good jump right now. What is nice about this gain I will be able to use it all year to my adavantage.

So are fishermen, MM.

That reminds me, 3 or 4 months ago you said that you had to get up early the next morning to be in a Fishing Tournament. I never read the results. How'd it go?

I didn't win, it was for kids.........:D

Nice to know you still think about me though. Remember our challenge?

LOL!! MM! If you think I exagerate go back and check a little farther back then your tracker goes. By the way, I'll take any challenge you have!! Obviously this is one Cowboy you don't know that well! I noticed you leaped out today! Good luck to you in 2006! I was one of the rare ones that was ahead in the first quarter of 2005. Not that it matters to me. We could take a year on a challenge. By the way I would be up on you already.

Sorry Cowboy, I was talking to greggy since he has such a good memory. ;)

However, if you wanna................:p

:-) Do I need to throw some cold water around here to cool this off. It seems familiar to me where this is heading... BTW, I told you not to compete with those kids in the fishing tournament since the only fishing you know is in the supermarket;-) P

Your water would freeze before you got it here Pyriel! Everyone knows I will spin you a yarn or two, just for fun. You been in the sun too long! LOL! Besides I am bored it is a long winter here! I just thought I would stir things up since none of us are in the market at the moment. Besides we need the cheap dollar so you can make money in the real estate business. If I am going to Boot Hill then I'll go with my boots on!! LOL!

Here come the brakes

European stocks soared, completing a third consecutive year of gains, but investors are worried 2006 might not be as strong. Last year was a very good year, with exceptionally good performance from healthy profit growth. European shares will rise only about 6% to 8% in 2006. European stocks were pushed up, with strong commodity prices underpinning the surging shares of companies in the oil and mining sectors. European markets in 2006 won't have a bad year, but not as stellar as 2005. Profit growth is currently good and will start the year strong, but then it will decelerate. European companies might only have modest revenue growth, which will keep share-price increases modest. I know this sounds like The Technician , but I regard myself as a contrary bull. Take care.

Cowboy,

You lucky man! Two days into a new year with a 4.5% gain. I got to say that you're good. Well, you really are ahead of most folks here. Congrats. Let see if you can be like that for the rest of this year. (Hope you do, becasue I'll be following you).

Ocean

Hehehe You are right since it is 85 degrees here. In fact, it is 85 degrees here all year long. I also don't doubt you when you said that you could spin a yarn or two around me but that would only be possibly true with stocks and TSP. However, I really doubt if you are within the same level with me as far as total investments and assets are concern. Your measley return of 12,13,14%+ here must mean alot to you since your retirement is depending on it. For me, my stocks and TSP are just play money to me which I plan to leave for my children, among other things.
BTW, for someone who doesn't care about being tracked, you do put in alot of time scrutinizing the way those trackers are reporting your returns. If you don't like the way you are being tracked (and reported), all you have to do is to PM them or to write a post telling them to stop tracking and reporting you. Its that easy! Ooopppsss! I doubt that is going to happen since you like the attention. LOL!
