Corn and Ethanol.

You never stop do you, think about it, sometimes that's good but when you are WRONG it's time to give up the ghost and admit it, comon use your brain.:notrust:

Don't you get it? It will NEVER HAPPEN.

The ones with the money won't let it happen.

THEY are systematically destroying every possible potential source of resistance that could ever have an impact on stopping them.

THEY control everything. Everything. The money controls everything.

The KOCH brothers are just the most visible ones. They'll use a tiny amount of their money, to convince large groups of ignorant Americans to tea-party their way around, and get any possible counter force- Unions, the people, citizens, and they'll DESTROY any chance any of those folks will ever be able to counter them.
Koch are the one of many that are helping America resist your wackos and save our country

It's all over.

The ones with the money- they get richer, and richer, and richer, and richer every day.

While the middle class gets destroyed and sent to the poor house.

THAT's what's happening.
I'm sure they won't mess with your $85,000 dollar Plus salary and paying only 20% of your health care benefits! So don't worry Progressive it shouldn't effect you.

And, that would include your beloved Democratic Party too. Funny how BHO won big but you can't get all those super intelligent liberal progressive voters to get behind a FairTax system of taxation because..................they don't want to pay their fair share.

Real Money Person, just accept Jim plus zip code as a part of the message board. By all means continue to argue if you wish but if "done" means with the MB please stick around.

HOLY SMOKE, I am not even sure where to start on this... So, to keep this investment related I am only going to make one comment:

If you don't like our representative republic...

then LEAVE

because we already redistribute way too much of our wealth (aka social programs)...

ok, must calm down... :D

See if you can stomach this-
might only make you mad ;)

you should be sick- 67% of the US wealth is owned by 10% of it's people.
You're not gonna add to that stockpile of cash faster than they find ways to take it.

Let's see, how many gallons of ethanol was produced, 4 BILLION $$$ should buy a lot of Moonshine? Then they sell it to us and we pay again + tax (that's double TAX). Such a Business, Such a business instead of growing sweet corn for human consumption they all (well many farmers) switched to ethanol corn due to the high profit margins and now sweet corn prices have surged, supply and demand you know. The other day an ear of SC cost me $.69 each----------are you kidding me! Then we can talk about FEED CORN, (not ethanol residue mush) check the price of meat! Then there is food stuffs that have corn as part of it WOW that's a bunch of stuff. This is ridiculous, Oh Lord take me home!

NNuut- the price of your sweet corn has NOTHING to do with ethanol.

The price of your sweet corn- just like the price of Tomatoes- has to do with a freeze that hit across BOTH Florida and parts of Mexico since December.

The National Weather Service reports this is the first time in 50 years that vegetable crops in Florida, Texas and Mexico were damaged by winter frost at the same time. This has driven up prices of tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and bell peppers, and it causes vendors to scurry to find an alternate supply.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture notes that wholesale prices for many fresh vegetables have doubled since January.

Jeff Custer, assistant produce manager at Acme Fresh Market in Canton, Ohio, reports tomatoes are retailing 20 to 25 percent higher than normal. Most varieties are up $1 a pound, to $2.69. His grape tomatoes are $3.99 a pound.

and

Most times if the Florida crop is adversely affected, Mexico picks up the slack and can provide fresh vegetables. Or if Mexico had a drought, Florida could be the supply. Today BOTH Florida and Mexico have suffered huge freezes and destroyed all kinds of vegetables. THAT's the corn problem you are seeing- NOT ethanol.

IT"S NOT THE ETHANOL- IT'S THE CLIMATE CHANGE which is responsible for your sweet corn price jumping up.

Did you know a cow's stomach does not digest grains?

Corn and Soy
A major problem with today’s factory farm system is that it is heavily reliant on cheap grain.
Under current US agriculture policy, the government provides large subsidies to farmers that produce grains,
particularly corn and soybeans. Livestock producers like to use corn and soy as a base for their animal feed,
because these protein-rich grains fatten up their animals, and because they’re incredibly cheap as a result
of the government subsidies.
Livestock consumes 47% of the soy and 60% of the corn produced in the US.
Raising cattle on pasture not only makes sense for their digestive systems, but makes sense for humans too,
by turning something we can’t eat – grass – into something we can – meat and dairy products.
Cattle raised on grass provide meat that is leaner and lower in calories, and higher in omega-3s and vitamin E.
Grass-fed dairy products also have five times the levels of CLA than their grain-fed counterparts.
On a factory beef or dairy farm, the main staples of a cow’s diet are corn and soy, which cows don’t digest well.
In fact, because their digestive systems are not designed for grain, cattle can develop severe health problems,
including liver abscesses and sudden death syndrome.
