I don't think all the negative headlines are having the impact they once did on sentiment. But if one has been a bear and shorting this market for the past 3 years I suspect their world has already ended. :laugh:

I hate to admit it but I can't wait until the world ends.

Your friend Don of the Seven Sentinels has posted some very interesting charts over on Traders Talk regarding the current status of this market. Caution is very warranted, capital preservation may become a big concern real soon.
 
I have access to his premium service, so I always know what he's thinking. I did not see his post though, but then again I'm on travel this week and away from my computer quite a bit.

There are a lot of traders getting beared up right now. I understand why they're bearish, but that doesn't mean we can't get another rally to the top of the channel at the least. Especially if sentiment overall turns bearish. I had anticipated a bit more support during OPEX though, and we aren't getting it. Perhaps the reversal comes next week instead, but I'm not convinced of anything right now.

The charts he posted seemed more geared to the intermediate/long-term trend (both quite bearish). But you're right, short-term, anything can happen.
