FOND DU LAC, Wisconsin (AP) — A retired prison guard ate his 25,000th Big Mac on Tuesday, 39 years to the day after eating his first ... nine.

Don Gorske was honored after reaching the meaty milestone during a ceremony at a McDonald's in his hometown of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Surely McDonald's most loyal customer, Guinness World Records recognized Gorske's feat three years and 2,000 Big Macs ago, and the 57-year-old says he has no desire to stop.

"I plan on eating Big Macs until I die," he said. "I have no intentions of changing. It's still my favorite food. Nothing has changed in 39 years. I look forward to it every day."

Just amazing you can’t make this stuff up.

McDonald's was doing their rollout promo for the new and only store in Wenatchee, with 20k residents, and until then I had hardly used the phone.
I had just discovered am radio, with a 9v transistor model rubber banded to the handlebars of my Schwinn Sting-Ray with 2 speed kick-back, rear slick,
and banana seat, when I heard the ad for the first caller to repeat correctly the Big Mac jingle that had been playing over the last couple days.
I raced inside the house, dialed, and even through my stammering excitement I won, and I still remember it to this day.

2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

-and yes, I did it from memory of winning that contest 40 years ago.
that is undeniably successful marketing.

Of course, I cringe at the thought of eating one these days, but I spent a regular amount of my lunch times at the local McD's during my mail carrier days!
Dang, that Filet O' (pollock) Fish sounds good about now!

Wenatchee the apple capital of the world. I had a girlfriend from Wenatchee that wanted me to return to her hometown with her when she graduated U of F. I declined and we eventually lost contact - she was a ballet dancer and had legs all the way to her shoulders.

Whoo, deep breath, that has the makings of a great limerick, how did you do that?

I once knew a gal from Wenatchee...

CH,

I Yahoo'd May Full Moon 2011, and it indicates that we just had a full moon on May 17. The chart you posted coincides with the SPX low point, and then a sideway move. If we were to follow this, would the next high point for SPX be the Eclipse shown there, or do we follow the upper trendline to the next full moon on June 15? I am trying to understand this.

The eclipse doesn't necessarily have any meaning if one is simply observing the full/new moon cycle as it relates to the market. I'm sure some astrological gurus would have all sorts of opinions of that, but I only deal with the matrix, not astro stuff.

There is an obvious trendline that suggests higher prices, but I'm not so sure I'd count on that. But if the current moon cycle trend holds, the next low should come near or on the next full moon (Jun 15th). That's still 3.5 weeks away.

I don't follow this stuff, but some people do. I just though it was interesting to see the short term correlation.

Whoa... I could see that going bad fast...

I apologize, I had to pull it there, there was no way I could say or post that, but it didn't stop me from thinking it.

Original prose available by PM, careful, it's also PG21+.

But I don't respond to PM's unless you've recently given me rep points, so that eliminates almost all of you.

That's a professional text worker for ya, how do you like me now?
