coolhand's Account Talk

Ok I don't know anything about the stupid index, but that does look like a Bullish Cup & Handle. I haven't a clue, is this good for stocks or bad?

I don't know about our domestic market, but that chart is suggesting a currency meltdown for the countries making up the STUPID acronym.

Dollar bullish I would think.

If today's strength holds up, NAMO and NYMO will begin to look toppy. Volatility coupled with our very limited IFT restrictions forces me to focus on risk aversion and bank gains when I can, especially after a successful trade. Today's strength makes for a good springboard into the G fund.

I hope you read it right, cause I jumped also. :D

I don't necessarily think the SS will be flipping to a sell, but I do think we have some short term selling coming as we are overbought. If so, how deep and how long it goes will be key to whether the SS stays on a buy. With our TSP inflexibility and high market volatility, I think we need to take what we can, when we can, without being greedy.

The SS can certainly lead us to those gains, but holding on to them can be problematic as I found out last year. I gave back over 10% over a collective 4 day period last year because of those darn spikes lower. The "V" bottoms didn't help either. :suspicious:

That's exactly why I jumped, that's what I got to do this year, make a little and get out. The SS's will help when to jump in and I'll jump out when I'm happy or beaten down. Hey, I migbht as well flip a coin on when to get out. :D

Thanks CH,

I've wondered what else may have been propping DSX up, I've been waiting for it to go to $12 before jumping in again. Now China is stockpiling raw materials in other countries. :suspicious: I had read someplace (Sorry no link months old info anyway) that they were also leasing bulkers for storage also. Someone also posted a pic of all the ships at anchorage off Shanghai.

Also wanting to get back into BHP.

Cheap loans by the Chinese government are helping to fuel this "bunker" mentality. It's hard for them to let go, however. If production slows down in China, the people will get angry.
