clester's Account Talk

I've been expecting to sell I fund soon since the RSI is over 67 and 70 is my sell signal. I'll be watching the stochastic indicator as well as the trend line for a signal. It could be soon with the news out of Italy. If I do sell it then I would move the other 50% to S fund probably. I seem to make my moves a little early so I'm looking for the confirmations above before I make a move. Ideally, the RSI would get up to about 80 before I sell. Also, I would expect to be back in after a week or so.

Stocks still holding up. I fund is hanging in there. The S fund will have a breakout if it holds up today. C fund is above 50 dma. No moves again today.

The market keeps drifting up slowly. All 3 funds look to be in good shape. C fund still lagging but is barely above 50 dma and RSI is uptrend. S fund did break out of its cup and handle or inverted head and shoulders formation and it's RSI is at 63. I fund is closest to overbought RSI at 68.

I'll be watching for signs such as slow stochastic dropping under 80 to give me a sell signal. I expect one soon. Maybe another week? I'm trying not to sell too soon.

The rally looks to keep going today. I am concerned with I fund as its RSI is over 70 which is overbought and a sell signal for me. Again, in order to not sell too soon I will look for other signals to tell me when to sell. S fund I looks good. It's RSI is getting close to 70 too though. C fund has been lagging and has plenty of room on its RSI to climb.

Bottom line. Got my finger on the sell button but I'm not too anxious. When I do sell it will be 50% since we are in a bull market.

I'm not too clear on that. Do you mean you will keep 50% in equities and move the rest to safety?

Yes. In a bull market defined as the 50 dma is above the 200 dma my system is to stay at least 50 % in stocks. In this case, since I fund is more overbought I would probably sell my 50% there.

good luck man!

Thanks. All done. I expect at least A-. Thats my entertainment now.

The markets sold the news as many expected. Lets see what tomorrow brings. I fund seems to be holding up pretty well though. A day or 2 pullback is no problem, but im keeping a close watch on it.

What are you trying to get a degree in?
I was thinking b.s. physics. I want to learn about time and special relativity.

I have a b.s. in computer science but never used it. Went into ATC instead. I'm wavering right now thinking about doing a MS in computer science instead. I love both topics. I have 14 hours now in physics and need about 24 more for degree.

I feel like I did back in college. What do I want to do with my life? :)

Anyway, it's mainly just to learn and for enjoyment.

Thanjs for asking.

As for the market, I think the time to sell a little stock is close. Spx is about to lose is imbedded stochastic (where it stays above 80) and the reversal yesterday didn't help. I fund is testing it's lower trend line but RSI is still well above 80. S fund looks the best.

Doubt I will make a move today.

we at at a crittical point. Spx is testing 50 dma, S fund is testing the breakout, I fund hit 72 on RSI and now dropping. We should bounce from here for this rally to continue. If not I will make a move tomorrow.

As seems to often happen, when markets are at a pivotal point something happens to resolve it. I think it could be the scheduled meeting today at 5. If we get any kind of progress the market could rocket up. I think there is a good chance it is good news. Especially, since we have been getting no good news.

i have no clue whether the news will be good or bad, but i'm pretty sure we all will get to bend over and wait for it.

hey, nice shoes, is that vomit on them? and how do you keep such a good grip on your ankles like that?

Oh well, never mind.

Futures are up. So, looks like the bounce will happen. If so, it would be almost a classic point to do it. S ($emw) and C ($spx) would bounce after successful tests of their breakout points. I fund still looks good but lost the RSI over 70 so I'm watching for it to possibly sell.

I would like to see one more good run up before I get out. Ideally, the s fund's RSI would get up to 70 or 80 to complete a bull run. Every time I think it's time to sell we pop back up. Let's hope it does it again. The markets seem to be trading on technicals with a little news to kick it a little from time to time. I think we still have professional traders doing most of the trading right now. That's good for my trading system.

The infamous January effect may start kicking in in earnest in another week - watch for small caps to get active for the Christmas rally.
