Lieberman’s family stated that he died “due to complications from a fall. He was 82 years old. His beloved wife, Hadassah, and members of his family were with him as he passed.”

In December 2021 a scrawny near dead senior weighing a shallow 15 pounds, walked into the shelter and thus began his long recovery to restoration.

In April 2022 I walked into the shelter and asked them which was their oldest dog? Without much interest they pointed me to the general direction of the kennels and after a few walkabouts, I strolled back with this little turdmuffen. He was dirty, half blind, half deaf, and I didn't even know he was a wire-haired fox terrier (but they did name him fox).

Now a fatty at 25 pounds, he dripped all the time, so we gave him diapers, he slipped all the time so we gave him socks, he was a platinum member at the vets. Although he walked head first into every wall he could find, he always stood proud like he was pure-blood royalty. And not once did he come over to me when his name "Fred" was called, instead I was either ignored or he walked off in the opposite direction. He was the Archie Bunker of grunters, always huffing & snorting when displeased and although he did have 3 beds, he always slept with me in the office (insisting he help me digest the stock markets). Not that I'm counting, but on average, we did 4-6 walks a day about 3,655 total and he loved every sniffing minute of it.

Of the 18 years he lived as a celebrity, 2 of my best were spent with him, RIP little guy

Incredibly coincidentally, we had to put our 16 year old wired hair terrier down today as well. "Knickie", named after the NY Knicks.

Sorry to hear for your loss, 16 years is a gut punch. I've had a few days to process (I didn't get back home from the states in time) and it's been difficult because my SO had to do the hard work of putting him to sleep. Monday was spent packing his things, and everywhere I look a memory gets triggered. I've had numerous dogs before, but now that I'm retired and getting older, this one hit harder. Knowing you, I have no doubt Knickie was well loved and lived an incredibly fulfilling life.

Actress Susan Backlinie, best known as the first shark victim in the “Jaws” franchise, has died. She was 77.
Backlinie, who played Chrissie Watkins in the Steven Spielberg-directed thriller, died Saturday morning at her California home, the actress's agent Sean Clark confirmed to The New York Times and Variety. She reportedly died of a heart attack.

Dabney Coleman, actor of ‘9 to 5’ and ‘On Golden Pond’ fame, dead at 92

Dabney Coleman, a veteran film and television actor known for roles in “9 to 5,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “Tootsie,” has died. He was 92.
Coleman died on Thursday at his home in Santa Monica, according to a statement from his daughter Quincy Coleman sent to CNN by the late actor’s manager Jeff Goldberg.
