Dumbledore, Ticked isn't touting himself as being a market guru. He doesn't spout astrology hocus-pocus style fluff. He doesn't try to sound like he is a know-it-all. He doesn't make Monday morning quarterbacking claims of having greater returns than his account shows him to have.

He is pointing out, rightly so, that your claims don't match your record and that your record doesn't give you much to stand on.

Funny the VIX hasn’t changed but the put/call has moved up. Just checked the S&P 500 Bullish Percent Index and it is higher than last May (Link above).

It might be the start of a move down…although I was thinking things would hold together until after the elections. The market has made a great move up and needs to consolidate before going any higher.

Just made progress on the FV award prediction calculation, looks very promising...., I need some more time to study it and iron it out....market changing direction isn't helping....I hope to have it figgered out by Christmas at least....

Apples and Oranges. Your current tally includes most of October. Since I haven't moved in October, mine only goes through end of September. I'm up over 3% in October...

But, I don't claim to be a leader, or someone to bow down to. I don't even claim to be a trader! I'll gladly fall on my sword for my missed opportunities in mid-year, (all fully tracked).

I'm going to try to back out of this 'debate' with some dignity and humility.

Personally, I think the worst thing that happens on the boards is criticizing someone else's choices. We all own our TSP accounts, and we own our decisions on what to do with them, and we all own our successes and failures.

I broke my own rule, and for that I must apologize. Techy's moves are his own, based on his opinions.

The work of the Trackers should speak for themselves, and the rest of us (me in particular) really don't need to interpret them.

Again, I think FundSurfer made my point better, and more economically, than I did. (I'm going to hire him as a ghost writer....very appropriate for Halloween.)

Now there's a fine example of getting nothing done or given help to anybody....picking on somebody just because he makes a comment....hey, I know, Schmuck and Smack would like to know I ain't made a dime........just thousands of them!!!! EZ is changing direction....I was up 10 or so cents, now, its dropped to 7 cents....I think the local market activities is affecting the EZ....
