Encouraging FT.....we should live on.....I suppose my moves of late have been rather short....heck last week I just couldn't tell what was going to happen.....yesterday, it started to look like a certain day we all remembered.....May 11 or 12 th....this year....there are alot of characteristics that speak droves of similarity....The Crystal Ball saw a possibility of a .25% yesterday and I took it.....

here's the catcher....when I looked at that data, the Crystal Ball said the C fund would outperform the S and I today....that is why I moved into the S&P yesterday....and today, it came true....the S and I just didn't perform as well....so I got out today seeing that the next move could just be what happened back then....if it don't I'll get back in next week.....but one other thing appeared to me this morning....just because its options week doesn't mean its going up till Friday....there have been recent options weeks that just didn't perform ....

So good luck with the I....I would love to get in myself but I just can't....I'll take the 0.38% today...

I'm broke. I just spent close to $100,000 this week. I have some left for Monday, after that I'll be forced to sell a beauty inorder raise cash - not time to do that just yet. But I do have a number of beauty contestant winners that I may lighten up on in the Spring. Waiting for some more splitters and buy outs to increase prices. It proposes to be an excellent year with perhaps a 3000 point run on the way. You heard it here first.

Don't have a million in the TSP, I don't have other investments, I don't have hundreds of thousands of extra money to invest, am not a market analyst, don't know everything about investing, not very good at reading all the charts and stuff, but one thing you can count on is, I'm no BS! I was Lucky when Tom offered me Moderator status. I think we should treat each other with respect and not play stupid games. Tom has done a great job at creating this FREE service to educate us, and give us the opportunity to learn from each other. You people are great.

I'm fortunate that I continue to learn something new usually each day. Fundsurfer asked how I could keep track of so many companies - the answer is that I've been watching and educating myself since the bottom in 1974. That means I have life's experiences under my belt - have ridden many bull and bear markets. It's all in the game of life. Each company I own usually pays a dividend and that money is currently reinvested just like doing DCA - at some point I might decide to sweep the dividends and spend them on something else like the eventual grandchildren. Until then I'm busy working on buying myself into happiness. Snirt.

Hmmm, that's about the time I took interest in watching the world economy....1973....been predicting the global economy future for years....hadn't missed a beat....remember the oil crises....that's what got me started....never invested until the mid 80's though....and finally got started in my retirement last year....took me long enough.....got some experience before that though and will once again recover from my mistakes of the past...good thing about all that is when the recovery comes it comes really good, because you learn the game ......

Birchy, I'm playing catchup, meaning that I've learned alot in the last 5 or so years, I got the big truck purring like a kitten, turbo and all, and now its time to put the HAMMER to the floor...I am going to quickly catch up to you bud.....then its on to "Buffett" time for me.....before I leave this earth.

Luckily, sometimes the soundest approach is the simplest. I'm on a quest for the eventual TOP - watching out for the TOP is my mantra. It may be 3 or 4 years from now - but when it arrives no one will recognize the darn thing and there in lies the danger. Hope you can help.

If the market turns hard down, it seems that the low 1260's in the S&P is the area to look for, but if we go deep it could be back down to 1220's again.......so keep your watch out.....

Talking about making reversals....that really came out of the blue, like walking on ice in the market, wouldn't imagine such a hard reversal at this time....still seeing an opening for a downer.....but if this keeps up, this would mean the market has made the decision to support the White House and the ruling party with a positive market for the midterms........therefore Birchy will get part of his dream come true.....mine too, so that we can play it in one direction only for a while..........you gotta luv it...

I couldn't have gotten in today in any case, I was busy right up to cutoff time.....if I could have been there a few minutes earlier, I might have made a move, but then again it looks like it could take a break tomorrow given another opportunity...that was a big FV today....

Market performance

I have been getting readings from the Crystal Ball that the market has had 2 shallow selloffs since Jul.. ...seeing the current market conditions that basically say, "Wait and see with the economy", I would stick with the buying and selling....fear of a sell off is diminishing..:cheesy: ...but a spiraling up trend is still not apparent..:blink: .....we are more than likely going on hold for a while....

Just looked today and saw that I have been 13 trades into positive returns since mid-Jul....that's 6 trades a month for the last two months....I wonder how long I can keep that up....oops I just edited that, did ya'll see that.....:nuts: Maybe a few people should try to trade more often......apparently it works.....

I tell ya, Trigger over here is ready to for a ride to round up a wayward steer or two ......
