C-fund

Hello all I'm new here so let me introduce myself. I'm fishegg ;)

I just converted %50 of my tsp to the C fund and would like some opinions. I'm 29 years old and have %25 in the L2040 %25 in the Gfund. I have been in the Gfund since I started service and have not lost one red cent the past 2 years. However I figure since everyone is saying that we have hit "bottom" I would mover over into Cfund and (hopefully) ride the wave in. Well? am I young DUMB and full....Oh you know ! -FISH-

As long as you're "fresh", happy to have you, fishfry. Watch out for Birch, he loves stinky things. welcome! read read read, you've got time on your side.

Welcome fishegg! It is looking good for the market right but the next couple of weeks will be crucial, in my opinion. Let's see how it reacts to the next pullback.

Well, sometimes I get a little stinky, nothing ajax won't wash off though. I Like the light at the end of the tunnel below got a laugh out of that. I guess TSP allocation is like forest gumps box of "chocK-O-Lahts"! It just looks like to me things might be winding down and prepping to start climbing slowly back up. Like you guys say I have (Sigh) "Time" on my side! Oh yeah one more thing. How do I sign up to win the 16oz mug, with my TSPtracker results. hahaha :ban:

I was just admiring my charts of the S&P today and noticed we had a gap up in July. I hate to harsh my mellow but I think this will have to be filled. We will have to have about a 10% drop to get into the gaps territory. Man I abhor gaps, they keep me looking over my shoulder.

I'd think you'd like to see that gap get filled (1016) to get it over with. I know I would, particularly if the 50-day exp. moving average (currently 1013) can move up and coincide with that level. It would be a very nice place to jump in.

Thanks Tom, I’m getting nervous, but I am usually early pulling the trigger.

Hindenburg Omens that’s all we need Birchtree; I think we had three or four of them prior to the current recession. I haven’t heard of any sneaking up on us, but it would be a great opportunity for you to do some more dollar cost averaging.

I don't know what is happening with the S&P 500 this morning- but Yahoo, and all the other sites I can find, stopped tracking the S&P500 one minute after it opened this morning. Must be some kind of glitch.

That 1080 has held three times now as a floor.

I wonder if that's it, or if the 1080 will break. I really thought it would break this time, but it bounced off again this morning.

Just a friendly reminder we are still playing with key resistance from the October 2007 peak. Of all the descending trendlines we have broken through, this is the very last one... (I hope)

I look at that graph and all I can see is 1300 in the next two months. Do I need my eyes checked or my head examined.
