kave i got the golf display shelf today, this is really nice! totally satisfied, superior handiwork. i will post a picture when i mount it and put my balls in there.

here is the deal, i have been sitting on this info for over a week and i'm torn, but i just can't help it, i have to show you this...

i ordered some laser-tech custom fit floormats for my newish pickup, to keep the snow and melting ice and dirt and mud off the damn fancy carpet, and i can't hardly believe what was in the package. the back seat one is a full length mat that covers everything and i got that installed the other day, then i kept digging in the box. the front driver's side has these little snaps and buttons to lock it in place built in, but not the passenger front side, so they send you these "devices" to anchor it down.

at first i think "ahh yeah!"

but then i turn one over and it is like this:

so it comes with instructions on how to anchor the passenger front side down:

first you twist and snap, then you feel around and line it up, then you push until you hear it pop! no freakin way, did they hire a 16 year-old to write this stuff? you got to be kidding me? they even have diagrams to show you how to do it! like health class from the 1980's or something. holy crap!

so i say to myself, i say, self "this is too frikkin weird" you got to post a picture. then i get this brilliant idea, "no self" draw a picture. so this is my impression of my new floor mats for the pickup:

i did not get too graphic on purpose... but it is what it is... i'm sure you can imagine the struggle i'm facing...

aye would've designed those floormat fasteners different, maybe neon green and diamond or hunter orange and square. why did they have to make them round pokey ruby red? what were they thinking?

so here is how i decided to resolve this conundrum...

i am not going to use those "fastening devices" to secure the passenger front side floor mat. they are stuck in my bulletin board at my desk instead. i thought about calling them up and say i didn't get the clips, but that would be lying, so i'm calling them on monday to order and pay for another set. if they won't send it then i'll just let the mat slide around.
